I love this car, I has owned one in 1999 it was a 1997 rear driven same color. I got married that year. Over time it got old and I wanted something different. But some 20 years later. I found a 1998 4 matic same color. It reminded me of the years I had been married to my wife. So this 2001 doesn't hold a candle to the 1998. Due to the styling. The 98 has black door handles, and black trim on the bottom edge of the vehicle. I added black MB wheel caps a new 4 matic badge and wow. So retro and timeless. This was the most popular color and now 27 years old, One can appreciated the style of that era. No turbo's easy to maintain and work on yourself. I've learned to change filters, brakes, rotors and transmission components. Window regulators, Fan motors. I mean how many people that own a classical vehicle like this and can work on them there self? And to know it's not many you'll see in a condition like this driving down the road. I also acknowledge the fact that this car has been used as a police car, EMT vehicle, Taxi, and appreciated in many countries around the world and is still running! The average owner has logged over 2-300,000 miles and still going. I love the one I own at 27 years old we are just getting started. See you down the road, and if you see me, a thumps up is appreciated. One saved from the recycle bin, each one keep one alive. Being a señor vehicle has its privileges. The badge of honor and a seat on the front row. Few of anything makes the value and love for it shine like the second time around you gain what you couldn't capture the first time.
