Boats, trailers, golf carts, semis… there is so much in there. I use to walk around to see what I could find. I would find something new every time.
Very nice. Saw you guys drove past my house the other day. About broke my neck snapping my head around
@@jhall244 Nice!!!
Nice!!! Matt!!! BPT!!!
Good to see you back! Thanks for sharing! I'll look forward to the next!
great work,i am taking on a 32 project now after building a 32 Tudor years ago,i am looking at a new steel 5 window coupe body and a Tudor body like yours and like i built years ago.someone cut the wheel wells and 3 or 4 inches of the quarter panels off and fixing it ,i thought was impossible for me but seeing this, gives me a little hope, although i don't have the cut off pieces for patterns?must be a way?great work.
I came here to see how your steering geometry was done, as I'm building 3d model dirt track cars based on 32 and 34 fords. I subscribed after these 3 videos, you do killer fab and OCD is the only way to go !!! Congrats on a great shop and a great channel.
Do you have this in operation now?
Yes, I do. I've put about 1000 miles on the car so far.
@@thrashersghettofab1417 very cool, I looked through your videos and the last one I saw was where you were prepping the engine bay to put the new engine in. I have a 67 Ranchero that I am going to put a 351 in. I bought the manifolds a couple years ago but haven't done the work yet. I'd love to see how much clearance you have to the shock towers
Cool job ,very cool but why not have just used 289 hi po exhaust manifolds they flow decent.
I think the LS manifolds will still flow way better. I've read the best flowing manifolds for the Windsor would be 351 manifolds. That would be way easier but I never do anything the easy way!
Nice clean work! Thanks for sharing
The heads used to be dirt cheap since its the china casting everyone rebrands. Did the same with cheap ls swap headers using those heads but modified the flanges vs the head.
I heard that also. Supposedly the machining and parts are supposed to be better quality, but who knows. I would have rather used SBF flanges. I've never welded cast before and didn't want to ruin the manifolds.
It's too bad some of the holes go in to water. Have you considered trying to design an adapter perhaps?
That is another idea that would probably even work better. I didn't want adaptors on this because I wanted them to look as "stock" as possible.
Love this idea! First thing I thought of was this would allow installing Cast LS turbo manifolds on a SBF.
I definitely thought the same thing.
nice work.. you got people who bitch and cry cause the parts they bought won’t fit perfect. then you’ve got this video here where you just make shit work. 💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks Man!!!
Did you actually run this on a running engine or is it a joke?
yep.......and I have 5000 miles on it this year.
Just get the right manifolds? Thanks for trying
What are the "right" manifolds?
Whats your build bro?
Ones that fit without hacking up the heads@@thrashersghettofab1417

I couldn't tell if you said you would need to mill the surface - Are the tolerances loose enough to be good with the welds just ground down?
I did not mill them. I probably should. But I'm am hoping everything seals as it should.
Good luck ! You will know soon enough 🙂@@thrashersghettofab1417
Who makes those manifolds? Thanks
I got these off Ebay. But I know the big parts house carry them as well, Summit, Jegs, and Speedway.
You have opened up these peaceful realms to the horror and desolation of war !!!! May you misfire endlessly into the night.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy Ford manifolds or headers?
I wanted to run manifolds to keep everything looking stock. I'm not aware of any Ford manifolds that would flow enough for what I'm doing.
I have a set of those heads and made good power in my 331. Check out my video. I'm a ford purist as well, but you can't deny that the LS has some great parts.
Thanks for the feedback. This is my first Ford build. I'm looking forward to what this little motor can do. It's fairly mild because this is a daily driver/long hauler but I think it's going to be a huge improvement over the tired but still well running 195HP 289/2V. I'll definitely check your vid!
@thrashersghettofab1417 I daily my mustang. About 45 miles a day to work and back. I get 18mpg with spirited driving lol.
I have those heads. Hope I don’t drop a valve. Like those manifolds, look like they flow . I got 1-5/8 mid length hookers but those LS manifolds look like 1-3/4
I talked to the guys I bought the heads from. I have a feeling they were detonating it. There was a small dome on the pistons and it sounded like they were running pump gas. I think a piston let go and took out a valve. With the smallish chambers and domes would put it into the 11.5-1 range. I'd have to measure the manifolds but they are pretty think so the look bigger than they are.
Very cool project!
Thanks!
I feel like all new ford heads should be made with both patterns. So many options for exhaust
Most bbf aftermarket heads offer the option of Ford or chevy header flange patterns, you just spec it when ordering
@@TheRoadhammer379 a and c 460 heads. I have them. Nice heads. I mean for sbf
It is so good to see you back and posting videos. Excellent!
You ruined a beautiful Japanese machine. Do that shit to a American or European bike.. They are money pits n unreliable. NOTHING BEATS JAPANESE TECHNOLOGY.
Love rolling rock myself, cheers 🥂 to you!!!
Well done, Respekt.
Great video and the dog takes the show love it
I got the same exact bike and color going to do the same, can't wait! That sound and smell, I miss it!
Gonna have to drive it from the back seat pedals to far back.those wildwood pedals need rebuilding all the time

Hey Mat are you on IG or have an email i can contact you. I need some advice about chopping my 32 Pickup, namely the area between the windshield frame and the cowl. I know you did this on your pickup. Thanks Monty
Hey Monty, I’m not on IG but I’m on FB, Mat Thrasher. My email is mthrasher76@gmail.com.
Your ride is coming along nicely. Thanks for sharing this video. Quity job
Did you use mittler bros 33-34 die set for that tub bead?
I did not. I used the step dies on my bead roller. It’s probably not exact to the original Ford bead. But I think it’s fine for my old beater. My video “32 Tudor raised wheel wells” shows how I did the bead.
@@thrashersghettofab1417 looks good. While the mb profile is close to model a...I'd need to turn it down an 8th and sharpen the radius. I may try the step set next.
I have an enormous respect for the design and fabrication quality on this hot rod, but there had to be a better solution to the steering linkage. If a longer shaft coming from the steering box and running close to the frame was used, you could then support it from the frame and then use a couple of universal joints to line up the shafts with the steering column shaft. Possibly????
The issue is the exhaust manifold is in the way. Also, I don't care for the weird steering angle a lot of early cars use. Plus my pedals are in the way if I dropped low through the firewall. The only solution I could come up was using a "steerclear" unit. I didn't want to use one because of the cost and the look of it.
If you are supporting your steering shaft with a bracket attached to the engine block, are you aware that engines twist and move around under torque loads? That is why the need for flex joints in the exhaust system.
My feeling with the motor is solid mounted. It is acting as a crossmember in the frame. I feel it's no different attaching it where I did or the chassis.
Looking real good, nice work! Build em, get in em and drive em!!! Thanks for sharing!
Got a idea to pass ya. While I guess there may be nothing covering the floor area from the seat to the firewall. I remember seeing a silver rubber mat at HD or Lowes that could be cut to fit that area.... won't be very noticeable being silver and probably will cut some noise and vibes. Looking great.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. That’s a great idea. Thanks
The volume in your videos is super low.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ve started using a mic in my more recent videos.
Looks great. Keep rocking. That dash is looking killer
The floors and tunnel in my 33 pickup are removable. It’s a game changer to be able to pull the tunnel when doing swaps or repairs.
I agree!
Looks good. What bike are the handlebars from?
All the "cafe" parts were from Ebay, the clip-ons, seat, and tail light. I think everything was $65.
👍 my first ever bike was a 1974 GT250 A ram air (🤣)…happy memories
Nice!! This thing is so much fun to ride.
Awesome Job!!!
The little metro dash looks good ---- wonder how one would work on a '28 Ford Roadster , no air condition -------- Thank You
