Переглядів 8917 місяців тому
Hi everyone! In this episode we make our way from Uluru in Northern Territory to Coober Pedy in South Australia. Such a different place and landscape. Flat desolate landscape except for the piles and piles of dirt dug up by the miners all around (and in) town. We check out a mine museum, do a bit of fossicking (called noodling) ourselves and stay in an underground dug out house for 2 nights. Do...

Lots of fun in Adelaide for you four and some pretty spectacular places to visit. Hi Jayme 🥰
Loved it! Good fun, William and Alexis getting plenty of exercise. Michael slacking with an electric bike 😄
hahaha he did give us a push up the hill at least. William didn't help at all though haha
@@Outlanders2023 you sure he wasn’t just hanging on for a pull up the hill? 😁
@@MarionWessling haha no because we'd have never made it 😂
thankyou, i used to live in Burra, just up the road from clare, the movie starring jack thomspon , bryan brown and edward woodward, BREAKER MORANT was filmed there
Was filmed in Clare or in Burra? That's pretty cool. We'll have an episode in a few weeks on Burra too
@@Outlanders2023 THANKYOU FOR THE REPLY it was filmed in both burra and some studios in adelaide and i think in pinewood studios located in england. if you havent completed yr burra filming yet, i recommend that you visit the "Redruth gaol" on the outside of burra, it was here many breaker morant scenes were filmed, the building is very historical ( it was also a former "insane asylum" ) i also suggest you do some filming at the old mine and also the dugouts where some miners used to live. i just checked on wikipedia, it seems that now redruth gaol is a museum and also there is NO mention of it ever being used to house those with mental health problems ( though when i did a tour there that is what the tour guide )who was also my school bus driver) told us)
@@homebrandrules Ah that's pretty cool :). Thank you for the tips. We have already been to Burra but we did go to those sites. We did the Burra Passport heritage trail which was really cool. We didn't get to see everything as we only had the day but we did get to see the Gaol and the dugouts and mine and the police lock up. It's a really nice town. Would be nice to be able to go back and get some more videos sometime. It mentioned at the Gaol that it was later used as a girl's reformatory.
You've done a lot of miles but Absolutely Beautiful Scenery. Hello from Port Augusta
Hello :). We have many more miles to go too :). We will be going back through Port Augusta in a few months. Hoping to stop and have a look around. Any recommendations?
Actually true story of how Whyalla was named. Two Aphgan camiliers were the shipwrecked and while the rest were rescued they became seperated and made it to shore at what is now the Whyalla foreshore. After regaining their strength and looking around at the baron landscape they both dropped to their knees wailing "Oh why Allah! Why Allah!" True story I'm sure.
hahahaha :D I love it! Definitely a true story haha
I moved to Whyalla for a contract at Iron Knob from NSW with my cattle dog and dingo. Had no idea it was illegal to keep any dingo or cross as a pet in SA and I got dobbed in. I got a surprise visit from a PIRSA rep and council inspecter ready to seize and destroy Boris. Old Boris just saw them as nee friends and was all over both of them like a puppy dog almost instantly winning them both over to the corrupt side. They both left saying "no he's fine, we're satisfied he's a golden Kelpie cross. Knowing full well he was a pure dingo. Never had another visit and old Boris was making a new friend of everyone he met. Actually enjoyed my time there.
Hahaha that's crazy and funny. So happy Boris was safe in the end and making friends :)
I love Sa, drove my old 79 CM V8 wagon to Whyalla. Had a ball, then looked at the speedo and its doing 160. Ha,ha. Great place to visit.
Hahaha :D it did well haha, you'd have gotten there a lot faster!
Loved the video guys. Will is having so many wooooow moments in his little life. ❤
Thank you :). He sure is! He's living his best life
Great video. Can’t believe the size of that underground motel. Fabulous starring role by Will and a cast of millions of flies.
Thanks 😊. Yea the dug out was huge, a proper house. The flies were insane, way worse than in the NT
Enjoyed the video. A few flies about. Bet you’re glad you left most of the flies behind. See you soon
We're all definitely glad about leaving them behind haha. Poor Will was hating them too
So awesome guys I've always wanted to stay underground and go noodling for opals. Thanks for sharing
It was pretty cool in the dug out but I don't think I'd want to live in one as they're so dark even in the day. Nice and cool in summer though
AYRES ROCK and the OLGAS
Such spectacular scenery, beautifully captured in video and some gorgeous photos Alexis and Michael. Enjoy the next leg of your ‘Journey’ ;)
Thanks you for the kind words 🤩
We loved this episode Alexis and Michael. Sorry to have missed Kings Canyon after seeing your video. Spectacular scenery and some beautiful photos there Alexis. Impressive climbing skills William ❤ scary but impressive.
Parts of it really felt like another planet it was so cool. Amazing how it's rugged on side and perfectly smooth on another too. Little William now will find any opportunity to climb up rocks, no matter how steep
Seriously how amazing is Kings Canyon!.
Thanks mate, it is pretty amazing !
Bloody ripper! Thanks for sharing
Happy New Year looks like an absolutely fantastic adventure xx
Happy new year, Going to be a good one !!
Such a good video guys, loved all the information. They get better each time. Poor William though, nasty ants! That’s rugged country to be mining.
Thank you 😊 trying to improve with each one. Will was ok but was cautious of ants for a while after. Rugged country especially considering it was done with tools!
Great video, so much fun. Wish I was there 😉
Thank you 😊 felt like you were haha
Glad your parents showed up with there akubras on.nice looking family thanks for the video
Thank you 😊
Been slack lately and only just watched the last 4 vids to catch up. Good to see the bank account topped up and the journey continues. Keep up the hard work and look forward to see where yous park up to make your next dollar.
Thanks mate. We've already arrived at our next temporary home 🙂alot more to do here than in Katherine.
Happy bornday Mick!. Awesome surprise Alexis. Love the battlescars on the panels mate haha.
Some beautiful scenery, love the fireworks ❤
Happy Birthday Alexia !! 4 yesterday.. 🥳🥳🥳

Sharing the serenity, isolation, outback country with your most loved ones 👌. As they say "Livin the dream". Wouldve been epic if Alexis ended up in the drink🤣🤣. Congrats on picking up some work!.
Haha I'm sure glad I didn't end up in the drink 🤣although it would have made for some good footage!! There are so many jobs out here!!
Nice vid…but just wanted you to know that my tablet is telling me I haven’t had my break…can you get on fox track and fix it please…thank you!
Sorry mate on holidays can’t help you 😝

Wow Alexis the views are incredible. And your pictures are beautiful. I'm so happy to see your all doing well. Big smiles even when your going a little road crazy. 😊 Hope the rain doesn't wash you guys out on your travels. Stay safe you guys. P.s. Let me know did you see the min min lights? 😜
It is really nice out here, especially after all the rain they had before we left. Michael took all the photos seen on this video 🙂he has a good eye for photography. So far no rain except for one night of light rain so very lucky so far. Hot during the day and cool or cold at night so really lucky so far weather wise. No min min lights 😭 but apparently they have been seen other places in outback Australia so still might have a chance
Happy to see you guys are having a good time. The views look incredible. 😊
City to the Outback Series 1 Episode1. WoW. Can't wait for 2, 3, 4 etc etc - Which Drone have you got ?

Looks amazing guys!
Thank you 😊 it's so green out here too after all the rain
