im surprised theres no science fiction out there about a civilation that is bron on a planet like this. imagine the cultures that could develop from a world where they are only able to survive on a narrow strip of safe temperatures on the plane, and one side is hot death and the other side is cold hell. imagine the wars, the geopolitics of it. imagine the first people to travel all they way around the globe. imagine the infrastructure, you could have a single massive super highway that spans the entire habitable globe
