The fact that I can pull a caleb city video from today or 5 years ago and still laugh my ass off is the reason he’s the best creator of his genre. Also his interactions with other characters make me forget its all him doing it

Quality over quantity, combined with the scarcity of his videos and the relateble content is what'd make even a "busy person" watch his videos cause they know what to expect before watching in this 1 or 2 minute long clip. He gives a sense of security to the viewers that'd make anyone want to click. And I kinda like it too lol.

yo, I love ur content, its just so much pro detail. I was shocked to see you only had 367 subs, because of the level of quality ur content has. lot of times, people will assume that because a youtuber is big, their content is good, and the reason for this is cuz a lot of times, bigger youtubers have been in the game longer, so as a result, have more experience. But smaller youtubers can have experience as well, I try to make sure I post quality content consistently, quality and quantity is good, but if u cant do quantity, go for quality for sure. Okay, not to get all politically correct and too serious. But as a black person, I respect that he's one of the only black UA-camrs I know of who isn't constantly dropping the N word or hinging his content on the fact he's black. Don't get me wrong, that style isn't always bad, and I do still watch Griffey, Tra Rags and RDC. But it gets repetitive and unoriginal when every black content creator goes there all the time. And I'm just kinda tired of that word. I get it's a statement thing, but I wish people would retire it.

Caleb has a certain quality that can't be matched. All the other skit channels can't even compare. Except for Tony. Tony makes equaly unique and funny content. But he posts multiple times a day on youtube shorts

The one thing I would add to your commentary is his humor. He may very well be the funniest creator on all of UA-cam, and that's saying something.

I thnk he gets most of his views by people sharing his skits with friends. Most of them are genuenly funny and relatible. Its a lot more common to send a 2 min relatible skit to a friend then a 20 min video essay

Everyone's talking about the relatability, but how has no one mentioned that what makes his skits so funny is NOT the relatability on its own? Many of his skits are so funny and memorable because of how they start out being relatable but then take very bizarre turns. He turns relatable situations into unexpected scenarios. THIS is the real magic to so many of his vids.

I think this is just the idea of “I want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I’m not kidding”. But for content. Look. Literally who are UA-camrs making content for. Who wants to see the same person on their feed over and over and has and is willing to spend an hour a week or a day or whatever seeing someone burned out who’s grasping at straws for ideas and wants you to have a parasocial relationship with them where you think you know them as a person and not just their content? Do these people actually exist? Caleb makes videos because he has a fun idea he’s passionate about. He’s not burning himself out. If I found out some scandal about him tomorrow I wouldn’t be able to say either way whether or not it was true bc I don’t know him. It’s easy to sit down and watch his stuff I don’t need an entire free evening. I think the question is why is everyone ELSE succeeding who’s not doing it like him?
