I found this because I was joking around on fb about "soul pie" with some people, and it was commented that "Soul Pie" would be a good name for some funky bluesy band. Rule 34 apparently works on music. This band is friggin sick I like it.

@Unclesamslair This is a good question. 'Transcendent Man' should be available on Netflix and Amazon, and covers quite a bit of the documentary-side content of 'The Singularity Is Near' (the film). Yet, the latter is much more intriguing and mind-bending, in my opinion. I'll attempt to find a way to purchase or find the DVD, and shall report back.

He actually addresses this in the film (The Singularity Is Near), and is challenged by some technologists in the A line documentary. In the film, and many other times, Ray said , "AI is not an alien invasion. It's part of who we are. We will be much more machine than biological." (this is already happening with Parkinson's Disease). Also, our definition of machine will change --> more human, sense of humor.

Aside from Kurzweil being a total genius I think he must get incredibly tired of answering the "Utopian" question over and over and over again (if she thinks he's talking about Utopia, then she simply hasn't read the book) so hat's off to him for being such an even keeled patient individual as well as being a complete genius.
