I notice the buffer heights are slightly above 1,600mm ,also do they serve dry cat food on platform 4 ?
Doesn't it detach at Preston with the 86 to go to Carnforth
Tangmere was planned to run to carnforth on its own as they needed the 86 because the tour was going to Liverpool lime Street which needs an engine on the back to take the ecs out, and Tangmere must have had break pressure issues sp the electric took it out and we eventually had to wait for the electric to take Tangmere to carnforth then come back to preston before the tour left and the 86 followed behind 🙃

Amazing that deltics have been 'preserved locos' for twice as long as they were in main line service. A pity Meld, the only racehorse filly was not preserved.
