I made an RC boat from a kickboard using a 3D printed bilge pump thruster to test a waterproof ultrasonic sensor for use as a depth sounder to work with my Arduino.

I was testing ultrasonic sensors for Arduino underwater to measure the depth with the goal to build an RC boat that can map shallow areas of water.

After my control line was blocked by a fishing hook I made a 3D printed hand-crank to adjust my Windpilot Pacific from the cockpit. #sailing #selfsteering #windpilot

Mission accomplished! I successfully received Othernet satellite data with my homemade satellite tracker from a moving boat while sailing. The tracker is fast and precise enough to stay pointed on the satellite. Now I can receive weather data, news and satellite radio while sailing outside the coverage of mobile networks.#Arduino #Othernet #Sailing
