Hey Clint, by can you give me a little more information about the living experience in region 7 and some more pictures but my
I'll do another upload soon. That's a great point, unfortunately no one from the village didn't wanted to do an interview.
I had two brothers use to work at the sawmill the one on the road, I had a school friend by the name of Maureen and nice were living out side of the compound on the life hand before the main road. My self and neice would walk from sherima to winepru when we have to get groceries. Does days were wonderful I still remember them. I am living on the east coast now, I leave sherima in the year 1987with malaria
It’s that Maureen Roberts you’re talking about?
My name is Ann De France I grew up at she rim a crossing and attend winery primary school ,in the year of1979 to1983 . I walk every day to school
💪🇬🇾💯 Hi Ann !! So pleased to hear such. Yes during my school days at Wineperu It was the same .
Love the wooden word stand
Yes they are captivating
Hi nice of you to show a video of wineperu. Worked there in 1976 to 1980 I had a niece that lived there I honestly can’t remember her first name
Thank you Roger. Ok sorry that you missed her name.
Nice! There's nothing like a nature walk. The rain is just refreshing. I see you were prepared for it.
@@Bigverde04 yes bro. I was. Thank you for your support.
Is it normal for the water to recede on the Essequibo banks where you can see and stand on the sand
Yes it is
Peace be with you, keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤❤❤,was there is the 70s, logging was the going thing, until the Government Nationalized CDC and installed 2 Meadows circular saw mill, one was fully automatic, i was at the opening.
Wow. Maybe you would have known my grandfather
Little Dubai
Clint, I enjoy your videos, especially when you travel with Phillip. I love Saxacalli. Love and miss Guyana so much. I felt sadness when I watched Winiperu and your lone standing house. Maybe you should fix it up and keep it as a get away for week ends and holidays? I can only imagine your childhood days in Winiperu. I, myself grew up in the countryside of Guyana. I roamed the fields, streams, orchards and pastures of Guyana. Great times looking for and picking fruits such as wild mangoes, guavas, monkey apples, French cashews, barahars and gamma cherry for our kites. Saw camoudis in dry streams waiting for fish and ran for our lives. Searched the entire area for gamma cherry and couldn’t find any around Easter. Got very tired and retired home to paste the kites with flour. We put chewing gum and cowa gum on pointer sticks and caught the whistling finches. Wow! Wild Guyanese childhood. I learned to swim in beautiful black water streams and paddled canoes through the beautiful water lillies, we called duck weed. Went with my great Uncle to his cassava, plantain, yams, sweet potato, bananas farm where there were giant mango trees. We couldn’t climb them, we picked up the mangoes when they fell as the trees were huge. Spent August holidays with my cousins in Leguan, so much fun. Oh! Those memories of clear water streams that one could see the bottom, the leaves and fish at a place called Catchment in Greenwich Park, East Bank Essequibo. I jumped waves butt naked on the Atlantic beaches. Chased 4 eyed fish on the incoming tides. Went with my Uncle to catch crabs in the courida bush. Gosh I long for it. But it can never come back, sweet sweet memories. So, when a child has to leave his home and move somewhere else, it’s very very sad. I wondered why you all left, economics, better opportunities? I guess life goes on as they say! Thank you for the videos which help me to see my beautiful, charmed Guyana as it is today! I long for Thee, the song My Guyana El Dorado makes my eyes water!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I understand those feelings of longing. I left Wineperu because of higher Education and the lack of opportunities. Guyana is a special place, though, and we all have those fond memories. 🇬🇾
Never forget home, Clint. Home is home. I have been away for a lifetime and I have longed for Guyana everyday. I have been away from Guyana for more time than I lived in Guyana. I have missed so much of Guyana and my family, births, funerals, weddings and all of that. I have definitely been away too long and if it was my decision, I would never left beloved Guyana.
Guyana awaits you. ✌🏽🇬🇾
If it’s that easy, I’ll there tomorrow. Not easy my Friend to rip up life and move to another country. BUT, but nothing is farther from the truth what you said. My one wish before I die is to return and to be able to live a life on my terms in my beautiful Guyana.
Nice little creek. Reminds me of "Red Water Creek" in the old days. The red colour probably comes from the soil types. White sand and laterite? Cashew is famous for the nut. As kids we used to eat the cashew "apple or fruit" part, but it left a sticky uncomfortable taste in your mouth. Its time consuming, but if the cashew nut is processed well, it sells for a good price.
Aww. This touches my heart, I know exactly what you meant. Cause I did it as well as a child. Yes the cashew nuts are taste much better when roasted
I left Kingston, Georgetown Guyana, 33 years now and reside in Canada. There was only one problem with me leaving Guyana. The problem Yes... That I left my heart and my soul in Guyana. And just took my body to canada. Btw, it's -24⁰c here. Looking out my window. There's nothing but ice pure ice everything covered in ice.😢. Oh my beautiful Guyana, I will come home soon God willing.
Guyana is calling you. Thank you for your support and hearing your story. 🇬🇾✌🏽
No houses building with wood anymore. So I guess it’s all for export… I heard a GPL generator in the background. At least they are reaching the interior. I figure the big creek is no more. It has shrunk. But it looks pretty. Sign of the times.
No no No GPL there. It’s just the company have electricity for their workers Elsewhere the others to use their own generators or solar. Thank you so much for your support.✌🏽🇬🇾💯
@ my friend, it was just a bit of humour. But I encourage you to keep up the work and continue to improve and grow your channel. Surprising, you came from that part of Guyana and expanded your horizon. Guyana is big, and the population is not keeping pace in order to grow and populate the interior. 👍
I appreciate this of you. Yes that was my home for 16 years. Yes please share the channel with your love ones 🤩

Thanks for sharing Clint. 🇬🇾
Thank you, it’s a beautiful part of Guyana.
Why the water is orange it's because of the soil or there's a mining activity 🤔
It's from the dead leaves in the forest and decaying trees.
