Thank you! That was so helpful!
Thank you Cheri for this easy to see and very informative video. It was wonderful and will make duplicate stitch so easy.
I like this idea. I have always done finger-crocheted ones for my stockings, but this looks a little faster and just as pretty. We use this twisted cord technique to make friendship bracelets. Instead of trying one end to a basket, have a friend hold one end. Then, cut the finished cord in half to make two bracelets.
Thank you for this video❤ My son dreamed of a Weasley sweater and I had a letter left to embroider.
Thank you sooo much! I am new to knitting and this was the PERFECT explanation & tutorial!
Hey Cheri can you please share the website for the free pdf of the letters you used?
Jesus died for our sins. God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved and thy house Acts 16 31. Thank you for the video tutorial.
So simple yet so effective, thank you so much for sharing as this worked perfectly!! 🙏🏻💜
This video is a life saver. I just bought some rather expensive hanks of yarn, I’ve never used yarn in a hank before, so this was so useful. I love the idea of a first date with your yarn. That’s so cute!
Greta video- super clear- thank you!
Now I like that one nice full
Thank you, Cheri!

Does this prevent the work from curling?
@@Cici900 No, it won’t prevent curling in stockinette stitch. But it will give you a cleaner edge 😃🧶

hi! would this work for a coat made mostly of polyamide (but I make the Pom pom with string attached to the end and just attach the string to the coat instead)? as I know that the material is really different to yarn…
Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for sharing this
Thank you for making this video , my yarn keeps untwisting do you know what I’m doing wrong ? Xx
You're welcome! Make sure that you're twisting more than you think you need to, and also make sure to tie the cut ends together when you've folded the twisted yarn in half. Good luck!
I just knit a sweater for my niece's Dog, Ringo. I will put an "R" on it using this method. 🐕
Fantastic! I love that idea!
This video was EXCELLENT. Cheri made a great video. Her instruction/explanation was the best I have watched to date. Her video was GREAT. I was able to view them and understand completely. THANK YOU!

Very detail instructions. THANKS
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for these instructions!!! I have knit for years, tried this before and had no success, then watched yours and gave it another try!!! I just never understood before. Now I’ve got it !! It looks great!!! Thank you for the great instructions !!! Well done!!!!

Great video! Nice to see that a rounded form is not necessary! Love the camping setting! Excellent camera work too!
Thanks for your feedback! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and found it helpful. 🙂 My husband does the video and editing work; he does a great job! Happy Knitting! 🙂
Just googled duplicate stitch for a refresher and found this. Hi Cheri I miss you!! <3
Hi, my friend! Miss you too 💕 I enjoy following you on Instagram! Big Hugs! 🤗💕
😊 thank you, I can't wait to try this on my knitwear
You're welcome! Let me know how it goes 🙂
I have never knitted anything and it is a foreign.art for me, but thank you for this incredibly well filmed and helpful video. I watched several that left me confused. We had a dear dear neighbor and friend that commissioned someone to knit personalized stockings for my large (and young) family. This year we had our sixth child and our friend gave me a nameless stocking in July for our new baby. The woman who knitted our stockings had passed away before we could add a name, and then in Sept our sweet friend passed away. I feel so grateful for the day in July I randomly asked him how we would get a stocking for our new baby and the memory of him hobbling to his hutch to pull out a long since made stocking he had planned for us. But now I need to put a name on it and your video is the perfect help. Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing your story! I'm so glad that this video was helpful to you!
Thank you! This was the clearest and easiest tutorial for duplicate stitch I have watched!! I have been putting off lettering the stockings in fear… thank you again!😊Merry Christmas!
You are most welcome! I'm so glad it was helpful to you 🙂
What a great way to change yarn. Thank you!
Bless you! I had been searching for a way to make purling easier and I came across acoupla of videos wherein they said they Continental knit but English purl, Then I found Norwegian purl, but then I discovered RUSSIAN PURL CONTINENTAL STYLE and it is the easiest thing in the world! Apparently, my search for my easiest way to knit, is quickly becoming a Frankenstyle, has stirred something in the UA-cam algorithm or associated topics to bring about a video from one of my subscriptions but alack and alas, she is an English-style tutorialist! And, she got me a little bumfuzzled.
What a fabulous tutorial! Thank you for the tip about NOT using cross stitch patterns, very helpful!
Thanks so much! Glad I was able to pass along some things I learned 🙂
I enjoyed the video ❤🧵🧶
Thanks! 🙂
Can't thank you enough !!! I'm just a newbie to knitting and the 1st thing I've ever knitted is a cowl scarf !! Thank you for the video ❤❤
You are most welcome! I'm so glad it was helpful to you 😃 What's on your needles now? Happy Knitting!

@@anthuy8090 Excellent! 🌻
Great VIDEO!!! Thank YOU so much!!!
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful 😃
THANK YOU !!!!! I have watched 10 videos on this technique you are BYFAR the BEST at explaining this. THE KEY TO A GOOD INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO IS THAT HAND MOVEMENT MUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY ANDI I MUST SEE WHERE YOU ARE PUTTING THE NEEDLES. Thank you so so so SO much, I was about to go nuts !!!!.
It was amazing meeting you!!!
Great meeting you also, Dana! Wishing you safe travels, profitable shopping, and happy knitting! :-)
Thank you for this! And for saying that I am the boss of my knitting! ( I sure needed to hear that today 🙃)
You are most welcome! :-)
Did you have right side or wrong side facing up when sewing seams?
Good question! Right sides facing up when working mattress stitch 🙂
Great video! You made it look easy to do which I love! I am a continental knitter whose struggles with loose purl stitches. I'm excited to try this technique. Can't wait to share this video with my knitting group.
Thanks Janice! I'm so glad it was helpful 😃 Thanks for the feedback!
I want to try this! Love it. Can it be adapted for knitting in the round?
Yes! You would cast on half the stitches you need, join in the round, and knit the same amount of waste yarn, switching to your working yarn and working the same amount of rounds I suggested. Then, you would have to scoop up those stitches on the back, while you're working on the knit side. I realize that this sounds very confusing! I'll figure it all out, and do a video on it soon! Let me know if you give it a try, and how it works.
I am looking forward to using this method! Thank you so much for bringing this option to my attention. It's so COOL Dude!!
Ha Ha! Let me know when you use it, and how it goes! Super Awesome!
very helpful and easy thank you!
You are most welcome! Glad it was helpful 😃
Thank you so much for the clear explanation with visuals. I must have watched half a dozen videos for the purl cast on without getting the very last detail of bringing the yarn to the back with that last cast on stitch. With this clarification, my horizontal buttonhole looks so much better. :)
Welcome to the Channel Catherine 🙂I'm so glad this was helpful to you. Sometimes it's the little things that make a huge difference! Happy Knitting. 🙂
I Love you guys. "You're doing it! Well done!!" 💪🏻🐻👍🏻

Yay! It feels so good to come to the end of such a huge project! Glad this video was helpful with the blocking 😃
❤️💚❤️💚❤️
Merry Christmas Cory! ❤💚
I want to thank you for this video. I have been trying to knit my first sweater but have ripped it multiple times because my w&ts from the purl side looked so horrible. I’ve watched so many videos and yours is the first one to explain what I was doing wrong. I wasn’t picking up the wrap from back to front and it left a gross stitch on the front side. Thank you!😊
Oh I'm so happy this was helpful for you Diane! Thanks for sharing this with me 😃 Happy Knitting! What sweater are you making?
Thanks, Cheri, that was very helpful. I'm not a huge mattress stitch fan, but it is necessary at times. I just needed to seam in drop sleeves (one edge of which was double moss stitch, so 2 knit, 2 purl rows) and this was just what I needed. ♡
I'm so glad it was helpful! Thanks so much for letting me know 🌻
So clear and concise! Excellent video. Thanks!
