A copilot who jumped to his death from a small airplane in North Carolina was upset over damaging the craft’s landing gear during a failed runaway approach. The copilot opened his side cockpit window and “may have gotten sick,” the report stated. He then lowered the ramp in the back of the airplane, indicating that he felt like he was going to be sick and needed air. The report said the copilot “got up from his seat, removed his headset, apologized and departed the airplane via the aft ramp door.” The incident occurred July 29 about 30 miles (48 kilometers) south of Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Charles Hew Crooks, 23, did not have a parachute, and his body was found in a backyard in the town of Fuquay-Varina.

Did anyone notice that it was female pilots that screwed up? I get very uneasy when I board an aircraft and see a female pilot or hear one over the PA system.

Funny story...a few months after 9/11, a student pilot entered restricted airspace and was escorted by jet to the base. Unfortunately they were doing a terror drill and thought maybe it was part of the drill. Some time and confusion later, they got it sorted but we all still laugh about it. 😂😂😂😂😂

Maybe they're not hearing as clearly as we are, but if they are whoever asked "is there somebody up there who knows what they're doing?" is a complete a**hole. Whether or not you know what a stroke sounds like, you can hear that *something* is wrong, and to assume that it's either incompetence or (he was probably assuming) alcohol only shows that he assumes the worst in everyone other than himself. Besides the fact that no matter what it was, that was totally unprofessional.
