Au Sabot French Chestnut Knife REVIEW
This Au Sabot knife works very well but unfortunately it is no longer available on Amazon. The links to the original and my new Amazon recommendation are down below .
AU SABOT CHESTNUT KNIFE:
The peeling knife or chestnut knife of the forge Au Sabot is a practical helper when peeling vegetables or fruit. Due to the fixed, small blade chestnuts (chestnuts) can be peeled perfectly.
The handle scales are made of Sapeli wood. Stainless X46CR13 steel is used for the blade. This stainless steel is easy to sharpen and strip.
All models of AU SABOT are made with old traditional techniques and under constant integration of modern techniques. The handmade knives in our range are simple, traditional French pocket knives, which do not want to compete with high-end products.
Here's a link to the original although I'm not sure if you can order it from here. Feel free to try and let me know how it goes.
www.brandners-homestyle.de/en/brands/au-sabot/kuechenmesser/4175/au-sabot-garden-slip-join-knife-bubinga-11-cm
HOWEVER, in searching on Amazon, I found this one that I would highly recommend in place of the Au Sabot. This one seems to be just as good and has better reviews than the Au Sabot did. I love how it is a folding knife as well. It can be used as a pocket carving knife from what I've read.

I'm part of the Amazon Affiliate program. Please use the link above for something similar to what I have in the video, since Amazon doesn't seem to have that exact type. . I appreciate it. Thanks!

Here we take a quick look at the 2023 Kia Soul 3D MAXpider Kagu floor mats for the front and back. I was having problems with the snare as well. Crimson 2 purchased new Feb 2021. When I plug in one of the Toms same issue. I diagnosed it as a wire problem. I took a stereo cable and plugged it into the extra port labeled Tom 4. Then plugged this into the snare and problem was fixed. Seems it is the snake cable. I will purchase a new cable but for now it is a working fix.

    I have a problem with the snare and rim being input at the same time, There was a problem that crash and snare did not work at the same time I'm using Ezdrummer 3 and I'm trying to solve a problem and share. The cable connected to the existing snare is a TRS type. Remove this cable and connect the TS cable (Guitar cable) to TOM4 in the module. When using TOM4 MIDI notes (41) mapped to snare, the rim no longer works. This is a possible solution when using a MIDI device such as the Ezdrummer.

    I've the same problem with my snare. Not with the cable tho, the pad. I've bought a new Alesis Crimson 2 on July last year. Snare stopped and only rim shot with hard shot triggered a soun. I wrote to Alesis and they sent me a new one (after 4months!!) And now here I am on November. Same problem, same pad. I resetted trigger settings, use the jog wheel on the snare. Nothing works. I'm ashamed of this company and now I'll have to wait other 4 months for what? Another broken piece? What after? I'll just continue changing pieces till insurance finishes? Ffs

      Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure if we have the same issue as my snare drum has always worked fine, especially when I plug other cables into it from the toms or when I plug the snare cable into other drums like the toms - no issues. My problem is only with the snare cable/channel itself, but even buying a new harness didn't solve it as the exact same problem persisted. I still have no fix as it seems to be a software glitch or something, unless the new harness I bought was defective, but I doubt it.

  • @burninlightpresents
    @burninlightpresents 2 роки тому

    Have you sorted this yet? I've recently bought the same kit and I think I'm now the third owner. Got to a gig with it and the snare stopped working. I've taken it apart and one of the wires on the centre piezo has come away and needs re-soldering. The rim piezo is still connected and is located under the mesh near the jack entry point. I think the same thing could have happened with yours which is why only the snare rim piezo is registering on the module. If the centre one isn't connected it won't register.

    • @mrreviewer1517
      @mrreviewer1517 2 роки тому

      No, no solution yet. My actual snare drum has always worked fine and I can check that by plugging any other tom into the snare (works perfectly) and/or plugging the snare cable into a tom (also works like a charm, both center and rim registering perfectly). I also bought a new Alesis Strike module and my entire Crimson II kit works perfectly now. This problem seems to be with the module and software inside the module. I even ordered a new harness and the exact same problem happened with the snare channel. I think it's gonna need some kind of firmware/software update/fix.

      Yo me la compre hace dos semanas y lo que está la batería en sí, bien. Pero lo que es el módulo de sonido, me hizo 3 o 4 veces de estar tocando y de repente apagarse. Pues la última que me ha hecho eso, se ha corrompido el firmware y no va ni para alante ni para atras.se me queda en lo de la versión de firmware, que por cierto en la mía es la 1.1.0 y en el video creo que es la 1.1.2.porque esa es otra. No hay para actualizarlo ni para que en caso de que te pase como a mi, poderlo volver a cargar. En vez de eso, a mandarlo a la casa. Con que no se que decirte en definitiva de si vale la pena o no esta batería. Si no es un error recurrente, vale la pena, pero como pasen estas mierdas de normal, malo. Además no esque haya mucha información en la Red. Yo solo he sabido encontrar a uno que le pasaba lo mismo que a mi

    Hey. Did you find a fix? I have EXACTLY the same issue but with the floor Tom (only 8 weeks old) The shop I bought it from has been USELESS and Alesis (who I spoke to directly) claim they’ve never heard of the issue, but state I have to use the company I bought it from to honour the warranty. I assumed it was a brain issue, but not sure?

    • @mrreviewer1517
      @mrreviewer1517 3 роки тому

      Does the problem follow the cable onto anything else you plug it into? (If you plug the cable from the floor tom into the snare, does the snare now exhibit the problem the tom had?) I messed around with this module for hours/days with no solution. This is frustrating. I wrote two letters to Alesis tech support including this video and got someone to respond but the best advice they could give me was to check the pins and blow out the connector. I'd had already done that many times to no avail. I didn't have a warranty since I bought it from a friend who said it was a floor model so they told me they couldn't honor the warranty. There is currently no solution and it's annoying since I'm tech-minded. I've tried everything with this thing, even forcing firmware updates (ones I could find for other Alesis modules since there are none for the Crimson II) with the USB stick after formatting it but it wouldn't take an update. It's strange since it even says "Update from USB" as if there should be an update available for this module. I know it's a module issue because even after buying a brand new harness for $75, it still didn't work and exhibited the same problem as the original cable. Such a bummer! I could buy another cable harness but to test it again but how many cable harnesses should I buy to test it? One should be enough. There is nothing else I can do for now but stare at it while it sits on my shelf. I hate the notion of tossing this thing in the trash because of one small problem within the module. I may write to them again but I have a feeling they won't have a fix since you and I are the only ones who seem to have this issue recently. Perhaps if more of us report the same problem, they will create a fix. My ultimate solution was to buy the TD-17 or the Alesis Strike, so I went with the Strike since it didn't have a cable harness. I just wanna play so I wasn't gonna wait forever for tech support, however I am still extremely interested/obsessed with fixing the Crimson II problem.

      @simonsnr8830 3 роки тому

      @@mrreviewer1517 Hey, thanks for replying! If I swap leads over, the floor Tom does the same for every lead, but the floor Tom works as expected (normally) if plugged into any of the other toms - The reason I thought it could be a brain issue rather than an issue with the drum pickup is because lately, when I turn the brain on, the snare mesh sound alternates between a snare and Hi hat sound when hit , but, when you change kits and switch back, the issue goes away..which points at a software issue rather than an issue with the Tom itself, but it’s only a guess. If it wasn’t for that issue I’d be certain it was the Tom itself ? The floor Tom issue started with just random rim shot instead of mesh hits sounds triggering, but since yesterday, I get a proper skin registered hit about one in fifty, so it’s got worse ( I’ve set the rim shot to play the Tom sound as a work around, but it’s not ideal!) I’ve tried factory resets multiple times, and tried playing around with the wiring loom. Alesis said as a good will gesture, they would have sent me a new floor Tom, but, have no stock, have had no new stock in months and have no idea when new stock is coming in ....pathetic! I’m absolutely disgusted with the company I’ve bought this from [ www.guitarguitar.com ) in not being of much help, and shocked that Alesis won’t deal with me directly, saying I have to chase this via the company I bought it from. With no new stock I KNOW they will have it for weeks, not be able to fix it, and will not give me a replacement until they get new stock in, gutted!

    • @mrreviewer1517
      @mrreviewer1517 3 роки тому

      @@simonsnr8830 I have a feeling even if they sent you a new tom it would still exhibit the same problem judging from what you said about plugging the lead into any other tom. It's definitely a brain issue. The closest thing I could find while scouring the internet for similar issues was that some people had the same problem as you with the DM10 where as they were playing the certain trigger would only register a center trigger one out of fifty or so hits then wouldn't really trigger it at all and only triggers the rim. If we can't simply swap cables to test it out, we have to swap harnesses and I did that with no luck. You could try to get a new harness and test it out then return it when it doesn't fix the problem, though it might. It's all an experiment since we have no one else to help us. How come there is no update for the Crimson II and why does a factory reset not fix the software issue? Annoying! Guitar Center probably has no control and could only issue a refund if you could get one. Alesis should be the ones handling it as they wrote the software and are the only ones who have the ability to help, unless someone bites on the Alesis forum I posted this video to and gives us new info, but so far, nothing.
