Mount Academy's Donovan Baird led the Eagles to the team title with a winning time of 16:42.5, and some ferocious winds flattened the finishing line arch soon after he crossed the line.

Tri-Valley's Van Furman started a family sweep of the top Class D places with Anna winning on the girls side and his 15:29.1 time helped the Bears regain the team title from Pine Plains by 42-49.

Tri-Valley's Anna Furman again demonstrated why she is the top rated Class D runner in the state with a 17:58.6 time ahead of Pin Plain's Violet Bliss, and Mount Academy's Sonia Maendel led an Eagle sweep of the 3rd through 7th places to clinch a third straight trip to States for the team.

Cornwall's Sophia Semo led her team to another title with a top time of 17:45.7 as the Green Dragons head to States after a 24-83-85 victory over Our Lady of Lourdes and Goshen.

Joseph Nuzzo of Our Lady of Lourdes charged past reigning champ Noah Klugman of Goshen to win in 15:59.3, and Cornwall retained the team title by 48-68 over Walkill with Goshen and OLL close behind.

Shane Golio had a winning time of 15:24.9 for Monroe-Woodbury with teammate Gavin Catherwood close behind, and the Crusaders beat out Washingtonville by 30-74 for the title.

Crusader sophomore Olivia Heim led her team to another title with a winning time of 18:42.9, but the team title was a nail-biter as Monroe-Woodbury scratched out a 52-53 win over Warwick Valley, with Kingston and Washingtonville close behind.

The Eagles repeated as S9-C champs as Donovan Baird led the way in 1st, and Mount will be competing for a fourth States championship with East Aurora and possibly Bronxville standing in the way.

The Rondout Valley girls captured their second sectional title after getting the crown for the first time nine years ago in 2015 as Hannah Chapin and Gypsy Wish went 1-2 and Lola Sherwood, Gabriella Castro, and Flora Parker-Myers sealed the deal in 6th, 8th, and 9th.

Owen Larson of Fieldston was the winner in 16:38.1, but Riverdale Country Day claimed its first title by putting three guys in the top 6 led by 2nd-place finisher Ansh More. Again, the scene on the bridge in front of the unmanned taped-off camera was thick. Just got what was available.

Poly Prep's Natalie Murphy captured the 5K race in 19:17.3, and her Blue Devil team earned the runner-up spot to Federations (States) as Spence won a narrow 93-98 win with a pack up top to claim its first ever NYSAIS championship. A bad memory chip blew away the Parade ground scenes, and the bridge was a bit crowded in front of the umanned camera. Apologies.
