While this is a great presentation, I fail to see how it will work in real terms. We will not have the option to manually enter the search criteria as we will be referring to a field. When you replace your "Elon \(gated\)" with a field reference it will not work. Example as I may have been confusing. mp = zoho.crm.getRecordById("Contacts",id); then you would enter searchCritera = "Name:equals:"+zoho.encryption.urlEncode(mp.get("First_Name"); This puts us back in the very same situation as to how to use the \( again.

Hi, I could not get this to work until I noticed that the methods you are using have changed during the video, originally it was GET and then POST. I then changed the Creator Method to POST and also used POST in the API Call, it is now working perfectly. Thanks for the video.

Thanks, Andrew! This shows quickly how to overcome the user objection (which I hear a lot) that the detail view from a list is 'crappy' or requires a lot of scrolling. The standard 'Field:Value' display has been compared rather unflatteringly to how SharePoint works. This overcomes the limitation.

Hi Andre, I´m struggling with something else and wanted to ask if you maybe know a solution: Im creating a service management application for my companyy to keep tracks on every service and every assignment. I have a form where you can add a service, cost, billing cycle and the responsible person. Second form is where you assign the people the service for example to the user Andrej. Now im trying to implement something where you can click in the report "All Assignments" on a service and for example a pop up appears with all users. The same for the users, when i klick on the name it shows me which services he has. Tried several stuff like grouping by service or user but for now im just using some example services and when i will enter all the data this gonna be a mess. Maybe you know how i can solve this so the UI is a bit easier to handle in the future

Thanks so much for this. One question I have is how to handle a null response. I'm working through a list of product names and some exist and some do not. I can't for the life of me work out how to handle it when the response is null. I just get an error and can't seem to test for whether the response has values.

Since I wasn't able to do this, I wrote an extension once just to get simple information from a webhook. You are a very good teacher. Each video I watch teaches me something new or shows me better ways to do what I do already.

Great explanation! I only came here to see how Zoho displays the related lists. Your explanation on how they do it with XML and example was really good. I just want to know if they have a documentation page for this. Like how should you be formatting this XML, or if they have any tools for this. Another thing is to know how to style these. For example first column, make it bolder, bigger. One issue I am trying to solve now is this: Contacts module has a related list with Zoho Desk, which looks pretty impressive. In the Deals module, each Deal has a Contact assigned to it, but it doesn't have Zoho Desk related list. I can go get all the information from Contact with Deluge no problem, but making it look like how they have it in the Contacts is going to be a problem. If only there was a way to see the XML format of an existing related list.
