With 1 steep angle shot that was almost ducked and a sketchy frontal shot that is not recommended he had a successful day in the woods. Tater the trackstar also makes an appearance to get some practice on blood trailing deer. #deer #hunting #bowhunting

    I could have used him last week 😢. I’m considering getting a Bloodhound in the future specifically for tracking. How hard are they to train to track?

    • @Edenoutdoors
      @Edenoutdoors 3 місяці тому

      It's pretty simple but it's not easy. I sent Tater off to get trained for 30 days then constantly lay training tracks in the off season to keep him fresh. There are a couple videos on my page that show some of the basics on what we do in training.

    You guys are proving that it’s not the destination but the journey that is the thing! I enjoyed watching and it brought back good memories of building my last blind. I built mine in individual sections and a floor base. I loved that blind….added voltaic chargers, a CB radio and LED lights. The truth is that when I climbed in I never wanted to leave. Enjoy! The stairs are way too steep. Exiting and entering during the dark or rain would be dangerous. Never go over 8 inches in rise on any stairway. Gorgeous project and carpentry, but the run should have been longer. I would add a safety line and lock-in during my climb or decent.

    It's a dream of mine to get into this cave but I'm not sure how long it would take a non-athletic person to train to be able to climb up that long ass rope once you want to leave

    • @Edenoutdoors
      @Edenoutdoors Рік тому

      Start with short climbs with an experienced rope tech that climbs rope regularly. It's not too bad after you train the muscles used when climbing. Also comfortable gear setup for you will help with taking breaks on rope to overcome fatigue. I believe I took 30min to climb out of the rumble room. 15min of that was hanging and not climbing.
