Hi Jamie! I, too, am used to only the nylon tents. But, I'm going to get this 10x14 deluxe Prota. They are sold out of the Desert Red color you have, so I'll get the Forest Green instead. Thanks for the review. I also had some questions about the door, but it'll be ok I'm sure.🙂
Hello! It's still going strong. I've used it twice this year so far and it's great. Excellent in the wind. No complaints at all and I still love this tent! 😁
I'm thinking about getting one of these. I sent a message to White Duck but maybe you might know. Is it a 4 season tent and is there a roof vent for a wood stove/heater. I love the video. You talk like me. This thing here not sure what its called goes to that do hicky there. Love it.
Thanks for this review, it was very helpful and informative. Have you found that some of the difficulties you faced with your first setup were easier with subsequent setups?
**Update!*** Had it out in a wind advisory this weekend. 36 MPH sustained winds with gust over 45 and it was a champion! The bow flex design is incredible. I love this tent so much. ❤️
That was a poor design decision not to put a zipper that goes across the bottom. Deal breaker for me. I had a Teton canvas tent tat was designed better.
I hear you. I'm thinking of maybe using a strip magnet on that bottom part attached with fabric glue. When I bought this tent everything (except this one) was on backorder for months and months so I took a chance. It's been a great tent though.
Disagree. I think if it kept the price low, velcro is a perfectly acceptable option. But I'm very curious about how your Teton tent has held up. Thanks in advance!
@@BrentNye The Teton held up beautifully but I had to exchange it for the Kodiak tent because I need side windows to dissipate the heat generated by any canvas tent inside. The Teton didn't come with side windows and I eventually opted for the 10x14 in the Kodiak vs Teton's 10x10. And yes, the Kodiak also has zippers at the bottom of the door panels instead of cheap Velcro.
Thank you. I ordered the smaller version 7x9, can't wait to get it and try it out. Those pins are hard to get onto the poles on some nylon tents I have, too.
After owning it for 2 yrs… do you still like it? We will set ours up for the first time this weekend… kinda excited I must say
@@toussaintmary yes! We're taking it up to the mountains this weekend for Labor Day, back to the spot that I did this video in. It's still great!
Hum…thank…hum…you 😅

Nice review. Thank you. Can we get a long-term update? Even a comment with how it has held up. Thank you.

How much better review and video of setup then why does the company does by far superior
They are 50% off right now. Crazy. I just ordered a 10x14 for $650 (700 with tax).

Sorry, I didn't see this message. So you probably already found your answer, but I'll put it here anyway. This tent does not have a roof vent.
@@jamiehoran6740 Its ok I bought one last September. Their real nice tents.
Thank you for the review! It is so hard to find a “regular” person honest review.
That's a nice review. Because of it, we bought one ourselves, but the next smaller version being the 10 x 10. Thank you for the video it's great.

You put your tent under a tree. What about lighting?

@@jamiehoran6740 that’s actually a really good idea. I might steal it when my tent arrives this weekend.

This was a good video. You should make more.

Just curious, how do you like your tent so far? I am thinking of ordering the 7X9 as well.
