Here's a question for you I've been charged for drink driving but I wasn't driving at the time I was arrested so how on earth can I be arrested and charged for something I haven't done I had been to the pub which I had walked to and left there to go to another pub while on my way there I was stopped by the police and told someone had reported me for drink driving but I was walking so as I said how can they arrest me for doing nothing wrong and what are the chances of the case being dropped and nothing comes of it

You wouldn't get a speeding ticket from 5 m the limit like if you're 5 in yeah you can go 35 in a 30 zone but other than that you can't go any higher some people were going 96 mph in a 30 zone or some people were going 70 in a 30

I worked with a nurse who crashed her car 3 times while drunk. Each time SHE would call the cops and wait, sitting in the passenger seat. When the cops arrived, she would tell them that a guy, she had picked up at the bar, was driving. She said he crashed the car and then ran off. In my state you can't get a DUI w/o driving or alternatively, sitting in the driver's seat while drunk. She got off the first three times, the fourth time the police told her that if it happened again she was going to be arrested, even if they had no proof she was driving and the case would be tossed. She ended up moving to a different city.

Good luck with that. Police breathalyzer procedures prevent this possibility. And if you make it home before testing, then DUI is an option for police, based on observations.

Never reply immediately to their paperwork. Always send it at the last possible moment. They're so overworked and disorganised that they often don't get to deal with it in time and the clock runs out.

Courts also take a very dim view of repeat offenders.

Do we need signs? Do we need speed traps/cameras? The answer to both questions is no. If people didn’t go over the speed limit, undertake/overtake at mad speeds, causing death and destruction, then we don’t need either.

I was travelling from London to Swindon on M4 I was 4 miles less then the speed limit but the camera flashed how do I prove that I was not driving fast or above the speed limit……also I have a doubt weather it was us or someone else who got flashed…..😢

Why don’t European countries measure blood alcohol level by percentage? It seems faster and more intuitive

If you ever drive past a speed camera with other motorists and it flashes twice this does not guarantee its you.. unfortunately you will have to bite your nails nervously checking your mail for the next 14 days 🫣

Can we get detained in the jail if I did drink and drive but didn’t cause any harm to others

I hired a car when I was in London back in February 2024. I got given a notice of intended prosecution yesterday morning 01/05/24. That was nearly 11 weeks ago now. Any advice on what I can do to get away with this.

I was convicted of Drink Driving 37 years ago and have never committed any driving offence since. However since my conviction I have noticed things that don't make sense to me. For example, if you haven't been drinking or speeding, you are not using a mobile phone and you are wearing a seat belt you can do whatever you want really. You can even kill people and still keep your driving licence. Also when I was breath tested on a random stop and driving fine, being disqualified made me realise that the law considers risking an accident to be far more serious than actually having an accident. Lastly if you are disqualified for being a small amount over the legal limit your criminal record will be the same as a driver who has drank 15 pints and caused an accident. Something wrong with the law.

What happens if you plea for drunk in charge and haven't received points due to legal error. But received a conviction on you're DBS for drink driving instead of drunk in charge and still have full clean licence? Can they remove the weong conviction on The DBS?

Undertaking may not necessarily be careless, but under some circumstances definitely could be and might even be dangerous if you were undertaking at say much higher speed than reasonable and a collision resulted.

How about NOT drinking alcohol and then driving a car .... DOUBLE DARE you to go up to a 6-foot 5-inch 280-pound guy who is "Ripped" who has lost a relative to a drunk driver and say to his face........ "It is perfectly OK to drink and drive" ..No somehow I did not think you would... DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE..... The person in the other car might NOT want to be maimed or killed...Just saying! If you are going for a night out with friends please book a taxi to get home and leave your car at home... EDIT.... If you have had a lot of alcohol to drink on the night ... There is a good chance you will still be over the "Legal limit" the next day.
