Cleveland History Center
The Road Ahead checked out the Cleveland History Center to learn about all things Cleveland! This place tells the story of Cleveland's history from it's founding, Superman comic & some really cool vintage cars that roamed the Cleveland streets and beyond. There is plenty to see and do so you won't be bored.

This museum has such a wide range of exhibits to explore. My husband would love to see all the cars and plane memorabilia in person. I like the re-creation of the town. Thanks for sharing this with us. We subscribed so we could see where the road takes you in the future!
@@trvlnthru I throughly enjoyed this museum. The cars and planes are awesome and I’m a sucker for old time towns like this one. Thanks for subscribing and watching, I appreciate it!
This museum is impressive 😎👍
@@SomeplaceOrAnother I was impressed by how much they had in there!
Like 8 👍 Hello from Naples, Florida. A very interesting place to visit, for sure! We enjoyed the tour. Thanks for sharing with us, have a great week 👍 💯 ❤
It’s full of history! I appreciate you watching!
Some really cool light displays. Loved how so many of them were animal themed!
@@HonestOtter Yeah I was impressed by the lights as well! Thanks for watching and commenting!
lol. That’s awesome.
Figured it would be a great song to use. Especially where the ducks were swimming away at the “Duck Tales” part! 😂😂
I love the songs you pick for your shorts.
Thanks! I try to pick songs based on what the short is about.
I'm interesting place! I always love to see when they do model towns like that.
I’m a sucker for old time towns like this one. You should definitely check it out next time you’re in Cleveland!
No snow angels??
There’s more snow coming soon, I’ll get out there and get it done!
lol Looks like there’s more coming.
Yes sir there’s more coming on Sunday night! 😂
So many cool pieces and exhibits. I geeked out the most over The Christmas Story stuff and the Mustangs. 😁 I’m not sure how I feel about those chromed out cars. 😂 Looks like an awesome place!
I love me some mustangs! The all chromed out cars might not be everyone’s favorite 😂 That place has quite a bit packed in it, definitely worth a visit!
I didn’t realize Cleveland was a guy. Fun fact about Superman Starting there. You meed to go to Metropolis, IL - Home of Superman. My daughter and I did visit the Christmas Story House. A few more subscribers you can get those cars. I liked the carousel exhibit. Thanks for taking us around. Happy New Year.
Cleveland has quite a bit of history! Moses Cleaveland was a land surveyor and a general in the Continental Army. I could almost afford those mustangs with some extra subscribers 😂 I’ll definitely make a stop in Illinois to visit Metropolis maybe this year! And I need to pick up that money cube for you and Tolle💪🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching Carl, I appreciate it!!
Lots of cool stuff in that museum! You can check out a Mustang whether you are into cars or planes 😆. Not sure I’m ready for a totally chromed out car though.
You can drive or fly a mustang as long as you don’t mind playing second fiddle😂
The Sternwheel Festival is awesome. They do one of the best firework shows you’ll see. Happy New Year Tim
That sounds cool! I’ll make plans to go there this summer! Happy New Year Dave!
Looking very seasonal there! Happy New Year!!!
Yeah the sky was cloudy & grey that day, so it definitely felt like winter. It was the first time I used a GoPro to film a video. I was concerned about how it would turn out and it seems like it worked out well. Happy New Year!!!
Lots of history in Marietta. Thought for a second you were going to walk across the bridge into West Virginia.
Marietta has quite a bit of history, it’s the oldest city in the Ohio Country (Northwest Territory) I’ll save walking to West Virginia for my next trip there!
You had a great year! With every video, you'll find yourself becoming more and more confident. Keep at it and I'm looking forward to what is to become in 2025!!!
@@UnkleHeavy Thanks Heavy for your kind words and support! I’m so glad I kept doing these videos because I’m starting to gain more confidence in myself. I have some huge plans for 2025, it’s going to be a great year!!!
Nice
Thanks it was fun to make and thank you for watching too!
Looks like a helluva 2024. Now you have to top it in 2025!
2024 was definitely a fun ride! I have plans to venture out further & meet up with new friends in 2025. Like they say go big or go home!!
Only can go up from here! Here's to more growth in 2025!
You bet it will! I have some fun plans for 2025 and am excited for it. Thanks for watching!
Pretty cool displays. Now that you did it do you feel enlightened being inside an ornament? 😁
@@westvirginianlivin9871 Thanks Dave! Now that I went inside of an ornament I feel enlightened but not any smarter💡 😂 😂 😂
@ 😂😂😂
Takes some real skill to ski without snow!
They’re more of an expert than I am!
You are right, the Tolle does get around! Morton Arboretum had a Troll exhibit by Thomas Dambo also. I really do miss it so it's cool that this one still stands. Where these close to each other. The ones at Morton was so far apart!
The first two were pretty close but the last one was a good walk. It was a pleasant surprise to see the farm animals along the way to the last troll! Thanks for watching Carl I appreciate it!!
That’s awesome. My daughter really wants to get up there to see them.
I’m sure she will love it! I think it’s on through the first week or two of January. It was my first time seeing it and I enjoyed walking around to the different nutcrackers. My friend Tolle Road made a video there last year.
You know it's Christmas time when the Steubenville Nutcrackers come out!!! Nice tour of the village, so much to see!
Thanks Heavy! This was my first time seeing this and I’m sure I didn’t get through all of the nutcrackers. I enjoyed walking around the downtown and seeing all the different nutcrackers! Maybe next year some friends will join me.
What guage is this locomotive?
Honestly I’m not sure. It’s part of a display outside of a wood carving museum in Dover Ohio. I remember reading in an article years ago that Mr Warther collected an engine and a caboose but beyond that the other details are fuzzy. Thanks for watching!
Looks like they’ve added a few since last year. Glad that wind didn’t take you away!
Even though it was a nice and sunny day that wind was brutal! Thanks for watching Tolle!
What a wonderful stroll through that neighborhood in Steubenville, Ohio. The Steubenville Nutcracker Festival was amazing, with so many impressive giant Nutcrackers. The views of the shops, buildings, church, and cannon were fantastic. I also really enjoyed your narration, Thank you for bringing us along. Wishing you a great week ahead.🙂🙂
@@dayadventureswithgasper Thank you Gasper for watching this video! There’s so many nutcrackers to see there plus the fort has so much history too. Glad you enjoyed the video and my narration, enjoy your week!
Looks pretty amazing! I love the refrigerator magnets. 😃
They have really good food there! Thanks I collect fridge magnets wherever I go😁
That’s actually pretty cool. Perfect choice of music too. 😁
There’s a whole room dedicated to those buttons in another building, Mrs Warther had quite a collection! I thought the song would be funny to use in this case 😂
Yeah they do an excellent job for their veterans. Photography wise, Zanesville is on my list. That courthouse and a few other buildings grab my attention every time I’m there or go past there.
I enjoyed making the two videos down there, there’s quite a bit to photograph. I’ll probably go down there again someday in the future. And if you’re ever heading there let me know, I can meet you there.
Man that is an awesome stop. I’m a sucker for most anything Christmas. Looks like they did it up really nice too. Of course I wouldn’t mind stopping there to see the wood carvings.
They did a really nice job decorating all the trees. It’s a really great place to visit to check out his wood carvings. The man sure had some talent too!
You never told us which one you took home with you 😂
I put the most expensive one on layaway and told them to bill The Tolle Road since you can afford it 🤣
Thank you for bringing us along on this tour of the Warther Museum Christmas Tree Festival. There were so many unique and creative Christmas trees on display. I also loved the views of the vintage train. Wishing you a fantastic week ahead.
You’re very welcome Gasper! And thank you for checking out my video too!! I was impressed by the many creative trees on display there. Also that train is one of my favorite things to see on the property. And when the caboose is open you can tour inside of it too!
Wow! That’s pretty awesome. So much history there.
Thanks Dave! It’s packed with so much history there! The Wright Brothers museum inside there is worth checking out. There’s a bunch of mini museums in that park and with so much history for $14 a person is reasonable too.
They don’t get more historical than some of those!
They sure don’t, there’s so much history in that place too!
I think the laughing lady would scare the heck out of most adults!
I’m glad I didn’t hit the button to turn her on, I would’ve lost subscribers 😂😱
Nice you could make it there on Veterans Day.
Yeah I was glad I was able to go down at that time. And thanks for the suggestion too!!
I didn’t know about the Amelia Earhart quote. That’s pretty cool.
I watched a video about the bridge and that was one of the tidbits I found interesting! I appreciate you for watching and commenting!
Thank you!!!! I haven't been to Zanesville Ohio for years. used to visit my aunt and her family every summer when I was a child I sure miss those wonderful days!
You’re very welcome! It was my first time visiting Zanesville and I wanted to check out the bridge and park. I’m sure I’ll be back in the area sometime in the future to check other places out. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That’s awesome. Beautiful memorials!
I agree, I was impressed by how beautiful they are!
Nice tribute! 3 Memorials in 1 day! That Massillon memorial was amazing!
Thanks! And I agree, Massillon has an amazing memorial!
Covered crosswalk in the side… nice! The bridge in Eaton doesn’t take traffic so I guess this one is the oldest functional covered bridge in the state.
The covered crosswalk is a nice touch. I’d like to get over to that bridge in Eaton someday.
And now I gotta find out how far this is from me. Lol. Cool video Tim
Do I smell a roadtrip coming soon? 😂 This one is an hour northeast of my house, so it would be quite a roadtrip for you. There’s a bunch of covered bridges up in Ashtabula County Ohio, I’m hoping to get them sometime in the future.
That’s awesome. Once I get through all this with the foot we’re meeting up. 😁
Thanks, it was cool seeing the barge on the river. And we will for sure meet up soon😁
@@TheRoadAhead82 You should’ve did the I’m A Little Tea Pot routine. 😂😂😂
@@westvirginianlivin9871 I don't want to outshine your great performance 🤣🤣🤣
85 miles per hour is fast for a car of that era #Aztec73
I agree with that! They must’ve tweaked that motor because most cars back then didn’t go that fast.
Nice! Into West Virginia
Thanks, I’m seizing opportunities when I find them!
@@TheRoadAhead82 are you meeting up with West Virginia Livin’ ?
Unfortunately not this time. I was in the area and decided to film the barge on the river.
Those giant hood ornaments replicas were sweet.
Yeah those were very cool! I love their hood ornaments.
Agreed. The 34 coupe is absolutely gorgeous.
It’s a beautiful car, I love the character cars had in the 30s and 40s. Thanks for watching Dave!
I think you needed more photo ops! That place sure is a massive collection of air power.
An air powered enthusiast could easily spend a day or two there. No one needs to see more of this ugly mug, unless it’s to scare the rats out of their houses 🤪🤣 And thanks again buddy for joining me and being my tour guide/photographer!
That’s awesome! That would cool to bring the family up to.
It's an awesome place to visit! If you love aircraft of any kind you could spend all day in there. Thanks Dave for watching & commenting!
🎶 Tim can take you on a ride on the big green tractor 🤣
I knew someone would get that reference 🤣
