Good gameplay, but honestly it's a bit painful to see someone taking unnecessary damage and running away non-stop from enemies that could be killed quickly, could use defense and some magic for that.

thx for copying the story from the manual; in these days games didn't need an elaborate story throughout, so the story of space smugglers on a starcruiser only makes sense for the first chapter, spacehulk. It doesn't explain how you end up in gothic catacombs with ghosts and other monsters, or in hell!

This is such a bizzare game it doesn't look or feel like its actually set in japan

You gotta love Dirk just...moving forward. He has no idea where he's going, what's gonna happen next, or if where he's going is gonna take him to the right place, but he just keeps chuggin.

I seem to remember there was a bug in the Amiga version where if your home castle got attacked while your whole army was away, your campaign army would duplicate itself at your home castle. Which made assigning forces to the home army the biggest scam ever.

More than Athena, she looks like Donald Trump in this port. Her gown seems like Trump's fat belly.

This was a technically superb game in lots of ways. Unfortunately it was enormously difficult, and completely unforgiving. I hardly got past the first level.

So the Amiga version is actually kinda good? Like unlike the butched genesis version

Although the Amiga version had better graphics (though they could have been way better) than the C64 version, the C64 version actually had better sound. I had the C64 version and it was better in sound and had more sound effex (turning on the TV, talking to you, brushing your teeth) etc. This was an obvious rush job to get LCP to the Amiga back in 1986.

Childhood memories: unlocked! I loved this game. And I had to write in English to play it, so it was actually a bit educational. :-) (I'm from Germany.)
