Excavating a fossil is a slow, careful process. Although an excavation team can use large tools and cranes to remove an entire skeleton in one large slab, removing the bones from the surrounding rock takes time and patience. Kansas Tektite from the Kaw River. Anyone else or any paperwork on local tektites? Hello from Kansas City, Missouri, maybe a roadtrip is in order.

Hi i've got free meteorite
You mentioned the 1960's but I thought it should be noted that they found Trinitite after the first atomic bomb test explosion, on July 16, 1945. It has also been discovered in and around the area where Hiroshima was bombed. That alone proves how much of an impact force is required to create Tektite, it is such a unique piece of natural glass.
The sound is terrible.
Salam kenal saudaraku Saya dari Indonesia Saya ingin belajar pengetahuan Tentang satu batu yang langka saya dapat Characteristics: Dark brownish gray color, like rust and has white grains, its weight is much heavier than ordinary stones, very dense, can stick to magnets. Total net weight: 2,200 kilograms (original)
Thank you so much for the video. Question: I bought a meteorite fragment from 'The Arizona Barringer Crater' gift store. That has most of the qualities you've mentioned. But it has a lot of sharp points, and I assumed it because it is a broken piece from the large meteorite. The surface is entirely black. Is it possible that a meteorite fragment has sharp areas? Thank you!
