Fishing Lake Apache in Arizona. Right below Lake Roosevelt Dam. Water temp varied from 58-63 degrees. Cloudy day. Light winds from 3-8mph. All bed fish were caught on Large Hellgrammites from Case Plastics. Check them out at www.fishingcompleteinc.com All footage was taken on a GoPro hero3 Black edition.
Let’s put it this way I’ve had days from shore on lake mead that would have won this tournament. Please don’t ask me where it’s taken me ten years of hiking around to find these spots. Very cool video though good luck to you in future tournaments. Tight lines
Yeah man, it's the same for me on Powell. It's all the same water but it's just a different body of water that takes time to break it down. We only had 4 days of practice and ultimately, we were just a big fish short on each day. Not too bad! Keep smashing em!
@ man I miss lake Powell I use to go there every year as a kid. You are a lucky guy to have that as your home lake. I hope you post more videos on this channel I think you will gain a following, it’s obvious you definitely know your stuff. I have some hula grubs and double tails but never use them. How did you fish em?
I use Hula Grubs pretty strictly with either a jighead or texas rigged with a bullet weight. Not pegged. 1/4oz or 3/8oz weight. Double tail grubs make for an incredible trailer whether it be a jig, chatter bait and even spinnerbaits.
