26-year old producer Duskus is a DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in London, UK. Inspired by everyone from Overmono, Fred Again... and Joy Orbison to Arthur Russell. He's spent chunks of time in both Surrey and rural Leicestershire, where Duskus has spent years honing a personal, hyper-specific sound inspired by the outdoors and the world around him.
With over 100M streams to his name already - accumulated via a series of releases since first
breaking through in 2018 - Duskus has used the last two and a half years to both reflect and
recalibrate as an artist. Now freshly signed to Method 808 - Disclosure's label, he's gearing up for the release of his new EP, ‘Healers Vol.1’. 🌳🌿🌏

The psychologists behind the music industry have figured out a way to manipulate music in such a way as to make it appealing to the mind through manipulatory patterns. I think that's what pop music is. Sometimes I find myself not liking a song but slowly changing my opinion on it because of patterned, repeated beats, melodies and vocals that become stuck in my head. They're very good at it now, and it's destroying the outlet of many extremely creative artists and it's destroying music and musical culture. It's destroying the thought process and what goes into making unique, good, original, creative music :(
