@Desert_guy any square port intake will work..all depends on what your preference is and if your going to go in the engine and upgrade the cam or heads..I used a dual plane intake for more low end torque for a power band from off idle to about 4500 rpm

@issacsalinas4513 yes it's part of the transmission..I believe it's the guide the chain for the pump runs on
mine was whining and not shifting just change the filter and found pink plastic on the filter put new one its working now dont know for how long lol

@fsu3784 yea it's crazy ..gen3 6.0s go for around 1000 bucks now..I got the motor for free for helping swap the motor in my buddy's chevy truck..he had the 5.3 in it and the lifters let go ..2 of them so I did the dod delete..oil pump.. aluminum oil diverter it should be a litte ripper with the 799 heads

What about the back water ports
@jamessindle what about them..everything lines up perfect no cooling issues ..no water in the oil..I just plugged the 2 ports in the intake ..you could run a line from side to side if you wanted to but it's not necessary
So you plugged all four of them or just the 2 in the back
@jamessindle all 4 unless your running heat..then you'd leave the passenger front open for the heater hose fitting..I'm in Florida..no heat needed..lol

@@nimrodpaul6875 yep..by taking their car ..towing it..then storage..you get the letter..you don't pay cause car is junk or has issues..you don't pay and Florida has a wrecker lein law..you don't pay no tag renewal on any vehicle registered to you until the tow bill is paid..big money maker for the city..

@P.B.R._S._n_C. definitely will help..also using the new LV transmission fluid from gm..they redesigned this fluid to remedy the shutter and erattic shifting..also an aftermarket transmission cooler in line with the factory cooler helps Temps greatly..thanks for watching

I’ve done this swap. Truck has nv4500. 750 vac secondary. Runs very well awesome throttle response. Only problem is I live up in a cold winter climate and no heat crossover in heads can cause the odd issue. But still starts in -30 lol.

I just want to point out that's a fuel injected truck and pressing the gas without the key even turned on will not put any gas through the injectors

@jwilde23 thanks ..that car has been around for a long time..got rescued out of a junk yard about 30 yrs ago with no engine in it..the girl who saved it kept it all that time until about 2yrs ago when I got it..350 engine was shot so I ls swapped it..let me know how the carb swap works out for you..thanks for watching and commenting

@Ls6chris I don't but I just went on there and chose the one I liked ..you can use any intake for a big block..you just have to decide what type of carb you wanna run..if I can find the link I'll post a pic..thanks for watching and commenting

@@tandjperformancesouthflorida bro you don't have to tell me. It's all bs. The safe for the environment. Maybe driving them are but sourcing the lithium for the battery isn't. Not to mention if the battery catches fire it could burn for weeks and fire fighters have a very hard time even trying to put them out. In 5 or 10 years they might be worth it but now no way. I'd way rather have a Prius. Best of both worlds and Toyota reliability. Just have to worry about the hybrid batter but besides that your golden
@THAPOKEPINBALLER yes hybrids are a far better choice if your leaning that way..Toyota and Honda make good hybrid cars..regenitive braking that actually works and is not bad drivability wise and you have the range

I’m wanna do this to my 95 gmc Sierra.. I got the wire harness from a 96 Yukon in which I cut up the switches from the back doors and left the ones for the driver and passenger doors!!! So I was testing it out with my electric door skeletons as I plugged in the thin plug into the grey section of the convince box and the window elevators were going up and down. So what do I need to do?? Or do I need a convince box from a power 1995 Sierra truck??? I will appreciate you’re feedback
The way your doing it now is like the 94 and older obs Chevy trucks..they just had two door harnesses plugged into the gray convenience center box..way easier to do..but if you want it like factory for 95 and up..yes you need the harness that runs behind the dashboard..and the convenience center box as well out of the 96..then your door harnesses will plug into the 96 harness inside the A pillars like the factory
I remember this in the 80's (at least the hot dog girls on 1a around lauderdale). so many accidents. and all th e hopping bars until the town 'seniors' got rid of them. then they wondered where all the money went.
Yes sir..it was alot more "relaxed " back in the day..before the investors came and bought everything up to build houses..we used to go mudding off 441 in north Lauderdale there was nothing past university drive..

I don't beat on customers cars my friend..not good business practices..I drive them as they should..make sure they function properly..when the customers come to pick up the vehicle I go for another test drive with the customer to make sure they are happy with the performance of the unit..they can drive it as hard as they want ..and your probably right your 2100 pound 4 cylinder probably does pull harder than a stock yukon that ways 4600 pounds and has 200k on it..you really know what your talking about don't you..thanks for watching

I have a 98 s10 original engine has the cooling lines im bout to swap the engine for a rebuilt one but that one doesn't have the cooling lines adapter i have the old one but not sure if is going to affect the oil themp if i dont use them???? Any advice???
Send it..my 454 has the cooler delete for years I tow a car trailer with it and I've had no issues with oil temp or the oil breaking down..

What was the symptoms you are having, my timing chain has 8 degrees slack. Distrubuter is new. I been fighting with an issue. When I first start my truck after a hot restart. It starts and will do one of two things. I will idle clear down to 300 rpm’s, bump up to 500, go to 650 and stay there. 20 seconds later rpm will shoot up to 1200 then idle down to 650 and run perfect. Or the second symptom it will start, go to 1200 rpm’s then idle down to 650 then start surging from 900 to 400 rpm’s then about 60 seconds later, idles fine. I’m good. I’ve been through everything, replaced all kinds of parts and everything checks out. Only thing to replace is timing chain and gears. The knock sensor or redo the intake gasket that’s showing no signs of leaks and past a smoke test. Truck does not miss and engine is smooth and quiet idleing. Seems to stop surging when ac is turned on. But not vacuum leak is present. Truck has 205,000 miles on it.
Also when you did the chain, do you have to drop the oil pan to get the timing cover and gasket back on. I’m little Larry about doing it myself because I don’t know if I will be able to get the cover to seal up good. My timing has been set a 0 degrees, it’s been advanced to 2 before. I tried diffrent positions and nothing helps. But if I hit with a timing gun the way it sits now, with base timing unplugged. It will do it’s surge and low idle, the harmonic balancer is dead on at 0 degrees and does not bounce at all. So I’m not postive I really need a chain or not
It's bad enough that he bought another truck..it runs ok but no power ..still idles fine but it's tired ..his has 263k on it..he works as a contractor so he got a 24 duramax..big upgrade..lol..but the problem your describing sounds like the iac motor is bad or going bad..when cold all the trucks I've seen Rev a bit high on start up then come down and settle in at idle..do you have a scanner that shows live data? It might show you what's going on when you have your issue..also usually the 1345 code will set if there's an issue with the cam and crank sensors not being synched..
So I do not have a computer, I took it to a mechanic that did and they can’t find out what’s wrong with it. I tried 4 iac, even a diffrent brand. I gave them a brand new one and they tried doing it by the computer. Still same issue. Throttle body has been cleaned and rebuilt twice. Wiring has all been check, tried new computer and prom chip. Same issue. 02 sensors- tried 2 diffrent brands, map sensor, distributer, engine temp sensor for the ecm, all new spark plugs, wires, ignition control solenoid, tps. You name it, I’ve changed it. I do not have a crank sensor or cam sensor. My truck is a 1994 Chevy k1500 350 tbi 5.7 liter, those sensors didn’t come about till 95

Yes, I unplugged the tan wire with white strip under the dash. Start up and check engine light is steady on. My truck calls for it to be set at 0 degrees, It’s been at 2 since we owned it. You plug the wire back in and restart. Computer advances it around 12 to 14 degrees. My surging issue only happens for the first minute on start up but is fine after it does it thing. The computer is fixing something. But I can smell a lot of fuel being dumped into the exhaust during this
