Nice. Does Mac still have the hobby shop open on the flight line? I was there probably 12 years ago for a heli fun fly and he had the hobby shop open. Mac was/is a great guy. If nobody was in the shop you just wrote down what you took and pay him before you leave. And you had damn well better pay him too. He had many people that loved him and they would have gone ballistic if anyone tried to screw him over. He was also giving everyone rides in his cub.

what is the AUW? For the hovering , the moving around is done by stick or not? Which gyro you are using?

you either trim for power, or you trim for glide, this is a glider so the extra weight you put in the nose just makes it too nose heavy for power off aerobatics. So seems like you are trying to make this a pattern plane vs an aerobatic sailplane, no problem, but not for me, now I think it looks like more weight centered back so the CG was around 100 110 mm might make it a better power off aerobatic sailplane, but It appears to my observations it is a "dirty" airframe whether that's due to the foam texture, to much decalage or both don't know. plan to get one and see what I can do with it for yuks.
