RP 240 vs RP 241: A Comparison of Pistol Grip & Weight
So the NPR 24-22 is compatible with Milwaukee and rigid actuator?? I'm looking at their website but don't see Hilti rings for 1/2,3/4 or 1 inch. Only 1 1/4 and up. Need to know if I can use other brand rings with this tool before buying
Ring kit for propress now available Part#49-16-2490X 1/2 - 1 1/4 Also ring kit for IPS Part#49-16-2496X 1/2- 1" Great video though
Oh, So the green dot is used only for Air and not water ? As in I can't use the green dot on galvanized pipe for portable water?
I thought you were Mad Scientist BBQ dude. I was like, dang, he does plumbing too.
C1 compatibility
I don't see this for sale anywhere, although they have some ilinfo about it on their website.
I want to get one but what the bad other then battery in time goes bad
How about one 90 degree and 45 degree combination???
Everything about this video was correct... Nothing about this video was right.... 😂😂
*Promosm* ⭐
Seems like everyone gets the 241 over the 240
Not hot enough. If it aint a puddle youll have trubble.
What this man just showed us is absolute rubbish😂😂😂 it has to be a joke. Never do this
Why
This is literally how you braze pipe.
@@tmills908by making it red hot. U fool😂
@@VikingPipefitteryou overheated it. That’s why. Your a fool bro
No comment 😳
Why
Yeah, I don't think I agree with your technique.
Why
@@VikingPipefitter Are we silver soldeing or using brass brazing rod? is this for Low pressure water or for a high pressure HVACR system. what is the Copper pipe? Why can we just not use a 60/40 standard lead tin solder? Why can we not allow capillary action to put the solder where it needs to be? I keep my heat on the Coupling. and allow capillary action to pull up my filler material. 😁
@@jonathanhughes380 it’s not that complicated kid. This is literally a plumbing technique. I use it everyday. It’s a cleaner and hotter version of pipe soldering. And comes out extremely clean and sanitary while done with a purge of nitrogen. We use it in hospitals. It’s what all the medical gas is ran through
Where is the flux?
14150 is right
i can see that's a couple seconds from being a puddle. yikes it doesn't need to get THAT hot. also you're edit showed 14150 degrees 😂
That coupling was just starting to melt for a second!😳😅
i am all good with plumbing shorts
Not enough volume on the chosen music, could still just hear the talking.
This has to be a joke 😅
It’s for fun
It's only a silly idea... unless it works, then it's a brilliant idea 😊
Exactly
waste of time but ig it works
Hey, I just want to say to all the internet warriors this is a valuable skill to have. There will be times when you can't get a cap to go on the pipe because it's 3 a.m. and nothing is open and you have to get the system back up and running. Instead of just pinching the end down and brazing it this makes it look way more professional until you can come back and finish the job.
I would trust this more than a sharkbite cap which I have personally seen go flying across a room during an air test.
Should have cut them longer and did an orange peel (dome cap)
You didn't save anything. What you would of spent buying a copper cap you now spent on labor.
Im sure it’s meant to be used in a pinch.
That was nice!!
No bro it's gravity lmao it wouldn't work vis versa
Oh Chrissy
I'm not a plumber but I know presses or are for temporary situations
Wrong
Horrible way to save money lose money by not being professional
Ok Chris
Bad
Ok?
Awesome video!
Spend more time telling us how good it is instead of telling us how bad solder is because everyone knows solder will outperform and outlast a crimp with a rubber o ring in it any century.
Ok dummy
@@VikingPipefitterLOL
Huh. 👌
Thanks for this video I’m looking at getting the Ridgid rp240 would you recommend the 240?
I run onto this sometime in PVC on swimming poolsl. But I have a flex pipe I can use if I need to in PVC situations.
could have just brazed the hole
Obvi
Looks like a Band-Aid.
Its supposed to, although I've seen a lot better
copper???
I always clean the pipe
cringe corny af
Theres no better way to do this?? Looks like ahit
Toms of ways this is just to test not waste money on extra fittings this will get cut off
Have the NPR 32. It’s sweeet
Nice!

Water doesnt smoke...
These other comments got me laughing. Yes we braze for medical gas lines in america. And hydronic systems lol. The lines need to be brazed in a medical gas system because the melting temperature is higher.
I didn’t think you Americans brazed? I thought you only soldered.
We do both depends on application
Why use so much heat when you can sweat just fine with a MAPP torch and have far less risk of overheating the copper? You have bluing several inches away from your solder joint, that isn't necessary and is weakening the walls of the pipe.
This is brazing not soldering it takes three times as much heat to melt brazing rod as soft solder
@@VikingPipefitter But you're also adding huge amounts of heat to your copper, which you do not want to melt, and the colour changing is evidence that the tempering (heat treating) of the copper has been ruined. That's going to fatigue and fail over time, not at the joint but on the pipe itself.
He was using type K copper lmao relax
Brazed copper joints are stronger, but yes the copper does anneal. Typically used in industrial and refrigeration applications.@@bloodleader5
