That's a darned long boring bar! The quality of the surface is amazing, especially considering the length of the bar. It would have been interesting to check the cylindricity.

Yes, absolutely. That tool is out someting like 10 to 13 times diameter. And in that kind of condition that was an amazing job, that you couldn't do otherwise... and since vobration is an high frequency resonance, and there is no (or at least very very low) vibration here... it's truly silent.

Definitely can not complain about the finish. I have heard that these bars only work IF you push them hard enough to make them work ?? Seems like what i heard is BULLSHIT. Seems like a fairly light cutting depth from what i could see. Maybe i should buy myself one of these bars for my next Christmas gift. I doubt no matter how Good i am. Santa definitely will not be bringing me one, LOL.
You are right about the BS. They work at any cutting depth! And as for everything, you can manage to use them so you do not get the best out of them. But even then they are better then anything else. Hope Santa one day change his mind, as we have plenty in stock :-)

feed/speed/material? ive tried this insert on a few different materials and had the best luck in 4340. still more productive to just grab a 643cnmg and take .35 a side in my opinion
