I love this song my grandma told me and my brother and my cousin kenya and my other cousin Malia and my cousin LaBrie to sing this in Wisconsin and I had a fun time there it was so fun I went to a spash park and I went to a pool and I went to little America and I had a go away party and now I'm at home my twin brothers named Jeremiah and Josiah and my name is Le'miyiah

I was there when she sang this for the late Former graduate, Miss Shona C. Bailey ( RIP)...Vanessa brought me to tears....la guardia high school gospel choir tribute concert 1992. ....of all my 4 years at LaG ...the class I most enjoyed being part of was Gospel Chorus taught by Mr. Reeburg . I was the only boy in the soprano section...it really touched my soul and opened up a whole other side to me...I am still very moved by gospel music as well as my own heritage..west Indian from Trinidad...a muslim born boy who at 14 wanted to become a hindu so I could learn of my mother's side as well as my father's . Then at 15 I stumbled upon an after school extra curriculum the gospel chorus...instantly I was so taken with the soul of my fellow classmates when they sang ...I was completely taken when I started to sing in that choir ...so many amazing voices in that room and i was part of it ...Mr. Reeburg , than you for allowing me to be part of something so awesome .. the power of music can touch u in any language and any style of sound ..music is the universal language it has more unexplained feelings than anything I I've ever felt...if u know what I'm saying ...I cant even begin to describe what I feel when I hear it in any language..u may not know what certain languages mean but u can feel the emotion as the music plays for the vocalist to tell the story...Thank You God for letting me experience such a wonderful gift in this life....it will always be my first true love ...Thank you....K.M. class of 94. Miss Vanessa where are u mama....u might not remember me but we knew each other as class mates and you were such a phenomenon then...I hope all is well with u and your family...hope u still sing because u had everyone in tears during and after your performance ..God Blessed You mama...where are u..your classmate .Kamral Mohammed...the indian dude with the long hair in the soprano section....does that ring a bell?
