Medicinal Genomics
Приєднався 3 гру 2016
When it comes to cannabis genetics, Medicinal Genomics is in a class of its own. Medicinal Genomics was born from Courtagen Life Sciences, a CLIA certified genetics testing laboratory that specializes in identifying rare pediatric neurological conditions. Courtagen and Medicinal Genomics share a Chief Science Officer, Kevin McKernan, who worked on the Human Genome Project and was the first scientist to sequence the Cannabis genome. The collective expertise between Courtagen and Medicinal Genomics puts our teams in a unique position to begin to understand the relationship between human and cannabis genetics.

As someone who enjoys growing plants and follows permaculture practices I wonder what role that the intensive selective breeding of late plays into creating favourable conditions for gram negative bacteria proliferation. In the natural presentation of cannabis the flower would be more akin to that seen in other uncultivated plants whereas to massively increase the psychoactive cannibinoids todays plants are grown to have incredibly dense flowers concentrated with resin glands. This undoubtedly would prevent airflow and UV penetration. I'd imagine that maximizing nutritient uptake including sugars would yet further provide the necessary building blocks for gram negative bacterial proliferation.
did you just explain how you transfer cancer to a cannibas plant? why would you ever wantg to do that?
Its cuz the companies that own the facilities dont care, its a cash grab. Ive worked for a couple and they actively stopped me from producing better quality in favor of profit. I attempted to institute actual living organic soil in 1 facility but the overall harvest would have been 10% less than the salt nutes they were using at the time (jacks) and they outright refused to listen. I tried to argue that the quality of the product would more than merit a 10% increase in price for the customer but they actually said they didnt think the customer was worth the effort since their sales were fine how things were... then they told me to dial down the trimmer depth to increase leaf to bud ratio😑
it's a lie.
Could it be that the CHS is caused by sprayed cannabis more than medical?
This is wonderful!
Congratulation Kevelin 🎉 research very interesting
So trichome building is rock solid and not easily swayed by chemotype level breeding... it'll be a tough nut to crack. Great content!🙏
~🔥~🍓👑🍓~🔥~
Wow this was sooo amazing. Thank you so much for this presentation
Great resources will definitely go check it out. Amazing work. Congratulations on your accomplishments ❤
Good information, appreciate this drop!
Thanks for sharing🔥
This is the most in depth study I have seen on CHS. Thank you for doing this research. I hope we can come up with a cure one day. After watching this it seems like the cure might have something to do with gene therapy.
Cool stuff. I'll have to rewatch it. Thank you for the content.
Love academics 😎
Feminised stock can almost negate up to half of the genome.
Male chromosomes have way less information and are mostly about male sex organs
@InfinityGamerHDx A few genes can completely change the overall expression of the plant. I am in on a few breeding projects that completely disagree with you. Males definitely contribute traits to its progeny.
@@natel9019 males also got a X chromosome not just Y
@@InfinityGamerHDx Definitely. We have just noticed that some of the traits we like were lost when we tried to get them in via females. A few specific characteristics have carried through the male lines, thus far on a few different strains so far. Cheers

It's worth mentioning that despite what lab tests tell us, different people reach different conclusions in their personal experience and preferences; whether they are right or wrong, their personal taste informs their opinions of what works. They can be both technically wrong and experientially right.
Can you test me I’ve got videos of myself in the shower dying I’ve had multiple hospital visits. I didn’t believe it was the Chs & I finally realized maybe it’s actually the weed doing it.
I’ve had episodes that are worse than labor without medication. I can’t even describe how bad my episodes get & if I don’t drink water just to puke it back up I’d honest have died from dehydration
Enforcement underway....compliance and regulations being enforced...federal legalization underway
Mark mentioned there is "his" book. I cannot find anything under his name, any advice?
“Standard of Care” for cancer 😳doesn’t cure anything.
I had CHS as the Doctor think and I was in the hospital for two days but after the 3 day I was back to myself
Short Summary: - The speaker discusses cannabis product recalls, starting with an overview of learning objectives related to understanding recall variability, reasons for recalls, and specific contaminants involved. - A map illustrating cannabis testing regulations across different states is presented, highlighting states with testing rules for both medical and adult use. - 38 states have legalized cannabis programs, with 20 documenting recalls on their regulatory websites. - The presentation contrasts findings with FDA product recalls in the food and pharmaceutical industries, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding public health and ensuring consumer safety. - Recent examples of recalls, including food and pharmaceutical products affected by contamination, are provided. - The analysis examined 262 recalls across 20 states up to March 2024, identifying trends and states with the highest number of recalls, particularly Colorado, Washington, Michigan, and Oregon. - The discussion points out an increase in recalls from 2021 to 2023, with certain states accounting for over 90% of the rise. - The speaker highlights the lack of transparency in recall notices across different states, noting that specific contaminants are often not named in recalls. - Pesticide contamination accounted for nearly 40% of recalls, while microbial contamination made up almost 30%. - The segment concludes with a call for better regulatory practices and transparency in recall information to ensure consumer safety, suggesting collaboration with cannabis science institutions to enhance recall data quality.
Recalls why?
Hi, I heard about the VIROID problem a year ago. I've been thinking about it a lot and I've come up with an idea on how to fix it. Could someone help me? Thanks.
The Yellowing of the leaves is it water or plant nutrients i follow you 💯 from 🇨🇦
Its tobacco mosaic virus I think. If it is, this wasnt an extreme case. Usually it causes extreme mutations right after the yellowing stage and your stems flatten while widening. They also develop leaf clustering and a whirled shape. Very contagious too
I am pretty sure the "greenhouse" farm he shows in this video is the inside of District Cannabis in Maryland. This is my favorite facility that i have ever seen, highly advanced and a star in the world of automation and efficiency. At their grow if you can have a reader for it to accurately track any level they have it. They are truly a star in their mindfulness and resourcefulness.
don't forget the throwing up until you lose your voice.
This dude looks and speaks like Chandler.
do purple trichomes
please
Absolutely fantastic video! Thank you for making this freely available to us on UA-cam❤
For context, 4 possible nucleotides in RNA (AUCG) at 250 nucleotides in length, if expressed linearly, gives structural entropy of just under 500 bytes, or half of a kilobyte. Disclaimer, I am not a biologist. I would imagine there's something very interesting going on in how these RNA molecules behave when folding up into more complex structures. Would love to see the rest or the talk
No rem sleep can’t be good long term… unless you want mad dreams when you stop.
Which cannabinoids? Just THC?
Laura is awesome.
The comment on the boveda stuff was perfect. thank you for that ;)
👏👏👏 Laura 🌱💪💗
What about all of the illegal pesticides used discovered in recent indpendent tests of the majority of legal weed shops someting to consider?. i havnt heard any of these talks ever mention anything other than it has to be the plants problem and not a problem with big agro/farm or pharma especialy in america you are sold poison daily in your food and drinks never mind the legal drugs so before i think any of this is a problem somebody needs to check its not just another american business practice problem before they try to sell you another drug to fix the problem they created 😂😅😢
Excellent video!! I do have a ? I use a trim bowl to trim leaves of the buds. It saves so much time its a miricle . I fear though im losing tricomes. So are they strong enough to survive a trim bowl . Thank you/
Basically bruxism…less pain when biting, brain thinks you can bite harder….
I enjoy this research, but most probably think it's boring
My special needs adult son was on epidiolex to help with severe seizure’s, it helped so much. After 9 months he started projectile vomiting. He got to where the only thing he tolerated was boost, he lost 20 punds, he’s a thin guy to begin with. Epidiolex was stopped in the hospital. Eating his normal diet, but failing to put on weight, he’s considered failure to thrive adult. He’s mentally at a 9 month level mentally, he’s unable to tell us anything and he’s quadriplegic. He is 46 and we are so very worried about him. He’s severely affected with tuberous sclerosis complex.

Crazy thing is that even if you show people this video they are still going to deny that cannabis is a medicine
Wow thank you for this!
What is this… lazy diagnosis
exactly. "oh, smoke cannabis? it's the cannabis"
