This is a short video clip of the finished boat. The sailors figures add a lot to the image. Later on Tom added a little carved figure climbing the ratlines - you can see it's creation in a separate video named: Carved Sailor.

From our visit to California in March 2007 taken from the terrace of Grifith Observatory in Hollywood. In the distance is downtown Los Angeles - misty but beautiful view! The sound of the wind is in the background.

Ahoy Tom I been enjoying your build on the model Shipways Baltimore clipper. I have the same kit I am working on as of now I had this ,model since it first came out in 2000. A great kit leaves a lot of detail to be done so I been turning to on mine for the last 15 years and still not done I will have it finished in a couple months with winter coming up its a ship ,modelers delight makes winter pass fast. Great video love the music background it soothes the wild beast. Tom where do get your crew figures from? again great video and the build is Superb. Frankie Day
Hi Frankie Day, Glad you liked my boat.Where are you from? For the movie and music my wife should get the credit. Little figurines we bought on-line but don't remember the company. Here is a website with similar ones like mine (the second picture) and my scale was 1:64. I painted their clothes and the one climbing the rigging I carved myself. Here is that link: www.westbourne-model.co.uk/acatalog/Model_Boat_Crew.htm Regards and good luck! Tom

william e godman Nice to hear from you and admire your enthusiasm. Where in England do you live? Tom lived for a year in Northumberland (1958)and another year in Chichester (1973) and I (Svetlana, his wife) as a student of English Language and Literature (in the 60's) in London for about two years and traveled all over your beautiful country. We like your smily face :)
Bonjour, Merci pour cet instant de bonheur. Très belle réalisation. Amitiés.

Tom, gorgeous. I bought this kit 19 years ago in Upper Marlboro fully intending to build it, and never have. Did you airbrush or stain every piece that you could prior to any assembly? And any pitfalls that you didnt expect? BIG thanks for any guidance.
nice work well done
