My dad bought a 71 Grand Prix in 72, it was really nice, and it had one feature I've never seen on another GP, and that was a leather rally tilt "Trans Am" steering wheel. That thing made that car, but I don't think that was an option on a GP, at least I've never seen it before or since. He bought the car from a friend that owned a Pontiac dealership, my guess he'd have a new car every year and he had his shop install the wheel. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Interesting car, I remember them as we had a few of them on the roads here. Easy for us to service, because, from memory, they had an Austin B series engine which we were familiar with. Pity about the poor video quality.

To think that this car has been so perfectly preserved and so many vehicles this age are completely destroyed and clapped out. There is absolutely NO EXCUSE for any vehicle to be in a condition much less than this... Its just proof that humans are trashy animals that break and ruin things and dont give a shit about it. Lazy, complacent and dull. What a nice car. If you're not willing to invest the time or effort to keep a non-appliance car in this good of condition then you don't deserve to have one. Walk or ride the damn bus!
