Kreativ Builds

Time to build some sh*t.
I Recycled Used Skateboards into Pencils
Today I'll make pencils from recycled skateboards, walnut and maple. I'll use the maple and walnut to create a checker pattern inspired by the popular checker board pattern. I don't think anyone has made skateboard pencils before, not recorded at least. It was a learning experience to say the least; follow along and watch how I made them.

not so mediocre end tables
Переглядів 594Рік тому
On this episode I'll be building two end tables with an art deco design. Something about that era of furniture interests me; maybe it's the style, maybe it's the quality or the craftsmanship. one thing is certain, you can't just find art deco pieces at an IKEA. So to satisfy my desires I'll be building my own.
A storage solution for small shops...
Переглядів 1,4 тис.Рік тому
When dealing with a small shop like I, and many of you do, it's vital to maximize your layout. Under the table saw is a great area to take wasted space and fill in with substantial storage. After months of clutter accumulating on my table saw, my crosscut and taper jig being thrown around aimlessly, finding it difficult to find what I was looking for and barely being able to open drawers I had ...
Easy Miter Saw Station Build with Kreg Precision Trak & Stop System // 4K
Переглядів 72 тис.Рік тому
Today I'm finally getting around to building a miter saw station. I was tired of inconsistent length cuts and sometimes making risky cuts at the table saw. It's a DIY friendly build that any beginner level woodworker can accomplish; using only (2) sheets of plywood and some left over 1 by stock. The station has features such as the Kreg precision trak and stop system, deep drawers for storage a...
You're editing had me in stitches! I'm still working on my "station", almost finished. It's a beautiful thing to have something to put yourself, your time, and talent into. Best of luck to you! Because of your editing, you earned another sub! 66carpenter
Much appreciated! Thank you.
Bravo!
Awesome video. That was fun content. Loved that you showed mistakes and f*ck ups too! Kept it real and engaging. Keep it up
Cool build, I appreciate that it's a fairly strait forward build without tons of bells and whistles.
Nice build! I’d fill the dado oopsie with a little black epoxy or black ca glue and it’ll all but disappear… and not collect dust.
What is the black paper you put on the tree?
"And that is why you don't do drugs"
Is that blue thing under the saw a spot to plug your vac hose into?
Yes. There are two blast gates one that serves that blue adapter and the other my miter saw
This is great, love how it’s so convenient for a small Shop. I’m cracking up at your commentary, too! 😂
Thanks! I appreciate the comment.
Um, you might want to zip that. 😂 This was a fun video.
Hahaha thank you thank you. Much appreciated!
My OCD's got my eyes glitching because of the brad nail holes once completed.... lol But love the overall look!
End of the day it’s shop furniture. But believe me my OCD notices every day 😂
Its refreshing to see a woodworker get things wrong. At least I know Im not the only one.
Nope we all make 'em. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks. Now I'm going to hear Jim Carey every time I plane wood.
😂😂
"im gonna fill this knot with epoxy" proceeds to use ca glue. jkjk lol. great work man, these look beautiful!
😂😂 thank you
Such a nice work man ! i need to buy a night stand but now i want to build one tho i don't have any skills to do so.
No one does when they first start. If it’s any inspiration to you this was my first furniture build.
Ok
Ok
I think you did fine, I prefer that you share your mistakes. Looks good. Limited on the right side.
thanks
Great video, had me laughing at the start! Looking forward to seeing more content!
Thanks!
Love it. Great tips and great comedy added to the mix. Making building fun! Can’t wait for the next episode! 🍀 🦺
Every video he gets better. This guy don’t miss!!
Nice! You make it look easy!
My good friend 🤣
🤣🤣
Great build man. Love your sense of humor!! Formica is a thankless product to work with, but your station turned out looking so sleek!!
Really appreciate the kind words, thank you.
make more video brother, I like this content. I want to see you grow. I just bought my first home did the base of my garage and patch up the floors and epoxy it and paint all the walls and install lights now im trying to build a work station. I want to learn from you.
I appreciate the kind words. I should have a video out sometimes next week and another shortly after. Congrats on the house - sounds like you could start your own channel.
Hi Man. I like your reality sometimes things don't go as you plan, and untill i have millions to burn I need to work with my stuff however it turns out and it's not always perfect. Very nice video looks like the miter station will be 100% accurate in functionality and serve you well.👍👍👍
Much appreciated, Thank you
The station looks good and should serve you well. As for the Mistakes, they don't even exist as long as you can fix them. Remember the Only person who never made a mistake is the person who never did anything.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Thank you
Dude! 👌. Great build. Really enjoyed watching this. Definitely subscribed!
Thanks so much for the love, Much appreciated
Fill in dark epoxy around the t track nobody will notice 😮
I like the way you think
😂 I enjoyed your video, thanks for making it, it must have taken you ages to edit it. Simply marvelous 👍
Much appreciated I’m glad you enjoyed. Thank you.
Wondering if you’ve added dust control to your shop since this video
There’s dust collection under the saw. There’s a n Oneida cyclone separator tied to that ridgid shop vac. There’s even blast gates so I can attach a hose to vacuum the shop. The video was getting lengthy so I didn’t include it.
@@kreativbuilds perfect, just that I'm building out my shop and that is obviously something one needs to consider when doing it in your garage and your wife goes through it often. She doesn't like my dusty footprints to the fridge! :)
Great job, now on to the Dust collection....

always need the freaking back sheet of ply
Always
What are you dimensions?
70” w x 34” tall x 24” deep. Made specific to my height and width of the wall.
I absolutely love your sense of humor and personality you bring to woodworking. There are a lot of dull woodworkers on the tube that make watching/learning from them almost impossible. Thank you good sir!
Really appreciate the comment, thank you!
nice video. I'm now a fanboy
😂 thanks!
YOU GOT PLANS FOR THIS ? WOULD WORK PERFECT FOR MY GARAGE SPACE.
I’m sorry I do not. I need to learn SketchUp asap and get some plans going for this and future builds. I tend to ‘wing’ it on things
@@kreativbuilds Not a problem, I took notes off watching your video. We all at times tend to wing it. "Wing It Wood Working LLC" has a nice ring to it.
playing cards work well for spacing your drawer fronts
Thank you.
you cut the laminate on the opposite side and bend it towards the good side, youll need to score it enough to be really confident in it not breaking off your cut line
Great tip thanks.
Great video! I liked cause it's down to earth with some humor in it. Good build. It's great you showed your mistake, a lot don't but you can bet they make them. When you coming out with another? Thanks for this one. Roger from the Sip
Hoping within the next 3-4 weeks; I’m in the middle of a cool project right now. I work full time and have a newborn so it’s difficult to find the time. But thank you for the kind words, means a lot.
@@kreativbuilds Hey Family first, and I know for a fact that a Newborn takes a Lot of attention. You will be lucky to get much time in the shop for a while but enjoy it while you can because they grow up really quick. Maybe you will have a new helper in the shop in a few years. 🥰
Your fence moved on you because you need to use more clamps in different places
I would have used 2x4’s for most of the build and then used 3 quarter inch ply for the top then 1x3’s for the trim
Love your work! The clip inserts are hysterical.
Thank you!
Subscribed when I got first laugh.within first thirty seconds. Lol I think I’m excited for this channel…. NOW ENTERTAIN ME!! 🥳😎😤🤬😥🤔🫡🤫
Stay tuned 👀👀
looks great. May I make a suggestion if you are going to add the 'T track' to something again that you'll laminate? If you know your adding the track before you laminate, router the surface first then cut/trim the laminate with a flush trim bit. Or, if the track is an afterthought, protect the laminate by using flush cut bit and place the impromptu fence on the line you're going to laminate, then take a shallow first pass to cleanly go through the laminate.
Great idea - I’ll try that next time
Nice Job Dude!!! u funny!!! LOL By the way what is the model of that dewalt nailer??
SWEET
Excellent
Thank you
I cried at the router fence moving, hardest I have laughed on YT video in a while. Been there...feel your pain!
Ooof it’s the worst - thank you!
Very creative! Do you have plans or a cut list for sale?
I unfortunately do not. I’m still trying to learn Sketchup so I can make plans available for future builds.
@madebygreg please let us know when you do cuz I would love to build this for my garage
Great funny entertaining video😂. Really good you kept the mistakes in too. Good work👌
Thank you !
