1993 Toyota Land Cruiser RJ70 | Project Shelby | Legacy Overland
Rebuilt for a custom client, this utilitarian and robust Toyota Land Cruiser RJ70 was meticulously reimagined for power, utility, and unmistakable style. We swapped the engine for a GM 5.3L LM7 V8, and changed the transmission to an automatic GM 4L60, now equipped with a new torque converter. The exterior is repainted in a glossy Toyota Dune Beige, with a striking custom belt-line, red-yellow-green stripe that adds a dash of flair. Who says old school can’t be cool?

In some markets, these came stock with GM 252cu in / 4.1l straight six petrol engines. In other markets, Toyota fitted them with a variety of Mercedes-Benz engines, such as the OM314. They were built in 8 countries, at least.
