    I Am just 20 lost in the woods unable to accept life or make it accept my being..the very beginning and when you already climbed that hill are the times we cling to philosophy to every finger it hands us….keep posting 🙏🤍

      I had a hard time accepting my Self at 20. It actually started much earlier than that. I had feelings that I did not want to feel. I used food to stuff my feelings, so they were never resolved. Then, food, diets, and thoughts about what to eat or not eat were always on my mind. I saw the weight on the scale and my body and focused on changing that. I became so self-conscious it became hard to be with other people. This led to other maladaptive ways of not feeling. If I could go back to 20 and change how I coped, then I would have found someone to be honest with and let my feelings out. Even if I had just journaled my feelings, I could have found out what I was feeling instead of using other things to avoid them. The best way to get through feelings is to feel them, sometimes just a little at a time, until it does not have the same power over you.

    incredible words. As a young person who has felt let down by the adults in my life it's nice to hear an older person acknowledge that we can't be better if the people before us don't give us the tools to do so, looking forward to more of your videos ❤
