This so called tradition called the Grind is nothing more than a bloody orgy of sadistic violence. One Faroese woman described the green of the hills, the blue of the sea and the red blood as "beautiful." One Faroese whaler said that a Faroese man is defined by the act of slaughter. The Faroese do not kill whales for money. The meat is polluted with mercury, PCB's and other heavy metals. It's not safe to eat and it is a threat to the survival of Pilot whales and other species of dolphins. The killing is done for one very simple reason. They love to kill. They admit to deriving pleasure from the slaughter and they take pride in spilling blood into the sea.They see the killing as "beautiful". Their children play with fetuses freshly torn from the bellies of their mothers. They poke out eyeballs and sit on dead mutilated whale carcasses as their parents snap pictures. And they view this as normal behaviour. Only a psychopathic mentality can justify this ruthless cruelty, this remorseless slaughter and such total disrespect for the sanctity of life.

Just as useless as your argument that it is done quickly. The speed of the kill doesnt make it any better. They should not be killed at all.

that is one of the most useless arguments "what if it was your family". if you're going to argue about this, use something real. And really; they are killed in the matter of seconds, the method has developed throughout the years to make them feel less pain

Its longer than two seconds and you know it. Dont try to make this all seem so quick and painless. How you you feel if this was done to you or your family?

Well it tastes like..whale meat...(can't really describe it) But if you ask for cheap...Not so cheap here but yeah, it's a bit cheap....But the capital city would be best for shopping because that's where SMS is (our shopping center) It's not so big, but you can buy there. And alcohol can be found in many small shops, and mostly in Rúsuni :) And if you're looking for a place try hotel streym.... Never seen the insides but it's close to SMS. Or hotel Hvonn, Hotel Føroyar. But i'd recommend Hvonn

Just curious, what does whale meat taste like? If I was to visit Faroes Islands which city or place is the best to stay? I would love to see the nature, but also maybe party a little:) And is it danish prices or cheaper for stuffs like food, alcohol and shopping?

Yes actually. The most of the Faroes would miss it. They really love the taste of it and they can't really get enough of it. But you're not offending me :D you have your opinion. But it's like we don't get the whale meat so often to the Faroes, so it's like when you get more you can eat what you already have thing. And we don't really get so many whales a year, and the meat goes out to all the people who was with the whaling. :)
