No.. this is anti personell ammunition. There is a variation of this projectile called " xtreme penetrator". Its a heavier bullet with different flute geometry made to penetate much deeper. This defender model is meant to get 16-18" of penetration The extreme penetrator gets much much more than that, and the benefit of similar tissue disruption caused by the flutes . Those flutes are what made the watermelon explode.. it creates hydraulic force

A 16” 308 is still good for a600 yard and in rifle. I also have a 16” R700 SPS tac. I ran that bolt rifle as primary in a sniper school. Beyond that distance I roll to a 300 Win mag.

Edit to add as a deer shooter I keep the 16” 308 to about 300yds max. The 20” I’ve dropped mulies a bit further

​​@@markw8191 I'm middle of the road barrel length at 18", great at 300 yrs great at a 100 yrds. I hunt brushy forests with small openings and few large open meadows. I am thinking holographic site up to 5x out. Swing the magnifier out of the way for a hundred yrds and in. Is DDs recharging handle proprietary, so no other option? Polishing to do maybe? I have found it to be as advertised for velocity. Not sure on jello performance. There is another UA-cam video on a gel torso but that’s out of my budget. I may get a chance to shoot a deer this year with it. If so I will report back

@@markw8191 what's the report on performance did you harvest a deer with the ammo successfully?

Its awesome. Ive shot it through drywall, 1/2 plywood, and a side window from a s10 truck, and i still got 17-18.5" of gel penetration . On bare gel i get the same. It seems to be as close to barrier blind as any round could be.. What shocked me was the consistency and how ingot the same results with various barriers as i did with plain gel. Military arms tests a 9mm underwood with the leighhigh bullets shown here. And he had about the same experience

All very true. The building was built for me to use and enjoy. On our last house we upgraded before selling to give the new buyer more value. This time I spent money on myself. Just put in power for about $1800 with mr snd my son, buddy doing the labor. Much better than the $4k+ for the electrician with us still doing the excavation

In Oregon everything is overpriced. In 2018 I originally got a quote from the same company at about $35k. I never expected it to go up so much so fast.
