diskartech reduced its interest rate to 4.88% last September. maya allows one to earn up to 13% interest rate up to 100k pesos as long as you play their "games" (use debit card, use credit, buy load, etc.). cimb allows one to earn up to 15% interest rate up to 100k pesos too as long as you play their "games". same with uno bank; they allow you to earn up to 12.75% up to 100k pesos. own bank has interest rate of up to 7.5% for 1 year time deposit. netbank has interest rate of 5.5% for its savings account. please do a deeper coverage of phpc...

It depends. If you want it liquid, I will choose digital banks. The disadvantage of digital banks is that interest rates will go down. If you want higher "interest" or gains, bond funds are the way to go since managers will sell bonds on your behalf giving investors greater gains. Digital savings interests compute interest either daily or monthly. Example, for maya, they payout interest daily and the interest is deducted by 20%. Basic computation for maya is ( (principal amount * interest) * 20% tax )/365

The only time i see digital banks as beneficial is when you're also using the card of the bank for purchasing stuff, otherwise, a bond fund would make more sense. I'd agree that bond funds are equivalent to savings accounts but not all of them are the same though. For example the bond funds in BPI are mixed in with PSEi equities apart from cash, corporate bonds, and government securities, but for Metrobank's bond funds, they are only composed of 75% government securities, 20% corporate bonds and 10% cash equivalents. I personally use Metrobank's short term fund as an extension of my saving's account since it is the only fund that i know of that has a composition of 65-70% government securities, 20% cash equivalents, and 15-10% corporate bonds, which functions exactly like a saving's account due to a volatility value of only 0.13, which means that it has a safety net like that of a conservative fund but invests a part of your money in corporate bonds at the same time. However, the annualized interest I gain is lower (only 2.8% p.a.) compared to bond funds that could reach up to 3.0% - 3.3% p.a.annualized interest. With that being said, the choice between what bond fund to choose actually just depends on what type of fund composition appeals to you since the differences are insignificant, so if you want a bond fund that has equities with it, go with BPI bond funds, but if you don't want equities mixed in, go with metrobank bond funds. The reason why i chose the Metro short term fund instead of the bond funds is because i want it to function EXACTLY like a savings account with the peace of mind knowing that the NAVPU rarely decreases, if at all, and i'd rather much focus my investing to other funds that give a larger gain as compared to chasing a 0.3 - 0.5% gain. When it comes to crypto, i think that investing in purely energy commodities (like the Metro Clean Energy Equity Feeder Fund) is better since energy companies are as volatile, if not more volatile, than crypto, so in my opinion, if you want to experience an erratic price that goes up and down for several months, investing in funds that have a diverse energy company portfolio is way more exciting and less stressful than individually selecting coins

Hi Mark, I use Seabank for emergency fund. Unlike other digital bank, sila yung hnd na kelangan mag transfer on same app ng savings funds na may high interest to available funds for withdrawal.. May atm card sila na as is yung fund is yung high yield na, no need to transfer using your mobile app. Perfect for me to be used for emergency talaga for fastest accessibility possible when needed as well as earning interest na pwedeng kalimutan na..

Iba pa factor ng supply and demand.. kahit ibenta sya, kung walang bibili, ibababa din ang value para may kumagat madami kasi competitor.. Iba pang factor ang return on effort.. yung sakit sa ulo ng overall operation.. parang mas ok ako kay S&P500 nalang.. pwede syang invest and forget nalang..
