The true beauty of these bikes are the sound they make which unfortunately in this video is nowhere to be found
La locomotora, la moto más bella jamás fabricada para hombres.
looking at these bikes from the 40s & 50s you can see there are a lot of nuts & bolts that need to be kept tight and various points to oil & grease; unlike modern machines. Pretty much the same with cars of that era ..
👂
NICE !!!
Some very nice history there Derek.

That's the first time I've seen a Suzuki engined bike called a Laverda ! Nice orange 120 earlier though.
Hi, appreciate your comment. I have no idea what you mean about a 'Suzuki Engine'. Please advise further.
@@derekjhanbidgeat 3.00 it looks like an air/oil cooled Suzuki lump
Great song/music. Do you have a title for the song?
No sound !!!!!
I am still learning, but now I know how to add sound to subsequent postings. My apologies.
fabulous Derek thank you for a great Video
Daniel, thank you for your most welcome comments. So many images I have taken over the decades, trying to port them across to UA-cam and make sense of it all here, lol.
My two favourite Road racers are micheal dunlop and Ian Hutchinson....I like John mcguinness aswell could listen to John all day his passion for bikes second to none, especially with Honda.
Thank you for your comment. I have met all three guys. Absolutely tops. Michael and John are racing at this TT2023. Practice starts 30/5/23. Ian is not racing this year, recovering from a partial stroke. Ian has certainly battled on following the leg injury. His achievements prior to that accident in 2019 were staggering, five TT Solo wins!
The Brough Golden Dream. If remember correctly - the one on display has no internal parts? Maybe they went out of business before making a working engine? I forget the complete story, but they normally used JAP or Matchless Engines built to a higher standard. I have thought it was probably the inspiration for the Honda Gold Wing?
Thank you for your comments. It is my understanding that the Brough Superior Golden Dream I photographed has no internal engine parts. The Motorcycle was built up from parts following the devastating fire at the Museum. It is a gorgeous machine, maybe Honda took some design influence from this Brough. I wish the British Motorcycle Industry had persevered with so many of their designs into mass production.
very nice video, did you know that the designer of the Gilera Saturno , joined Lambretta and built a 250 race bike , then moved to moto guzzi , the v twin moto guzzi is a near copy of the v twin he designed a decade before
Nice video , But missed the Ducati cruiser out , which was 50 years ahead of it`s time
Appreciate your comment, of course, my 'content' is limited to the machinery on show at Events I have attended. Maybe one day (lol) I will visit the Ducati Museum.....
Lovely compositions, Sir ! The TEXTURES in those engines are amazing. Thank You for sharing !!
Thank you again for your most welcome comment. I have over a million images to sort through, of course, the vast majority are Motorcycle related. I remain so impressed by Indian's long-term design; yet, they sell poorly compared to HD.
Lovely presentation, Sir. Thank You !
Thank you for your constructive comment. I am learning as I go developing my channel.
try wooler flat 4 if your on about rare or the Horex rebell prototypes
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏thanks a lot!
hmmmm rare , I`d say the Lambretta V twin 250 racer was rare being only one left , and the two model C lambrettas in Australia being the only two left
Beautiful single cilinder big bikes Love to hear them run!!
If you think that an Ariel Arrow is in any way rare or exotic, then please enlighten
Surely most of them have seized by now? Not many pressed steel frames around these days either. Or 2-strokes. Exotic might be pushing it, but there's a distinct art deco vibe.
I included the Ariel Arrow, based on the 'Rare Status', it certainly is in the best condition I have ever seen. They are most certainly rare and fetching good 'asking prices on the Used Bike Market now, (2023).
Wonderful machines, I wish I had one in my garage.....😎
I had this camera before but found that the pictures came out soo blurry. How did you get the pictures soo sharp. Considering to get this camera again now
Hi Didi, a steady hand, maybe leaning against something solid. Go real easy on the tiny shutter button.
It's sad what happened to the British motorcycles. But they really have no one to blame but their own management....
not much comfort to workers and customers.
Count Domenico Agusta started out building helicopters. His motorcycles, which came later, also flew, especially when Giacomo Agostini was riding them!!!
todas unas joyas
The MVs were top of the Italian heap ! They are beautiful to look at and I would love to have ridden them but that's a dream. Great video
The MV Augusta is in my opinion is the most exotic of all in this video, by far !
I remember being at bike week in the 70's and seeing this very motorcycle and got to talk to the owner. They were very expensive for the time. I think it was 5K +.
That was very expensive for the 70s ! There were two brothers, I think there name's were Berliner and they were Jews from the death camps that came to the U.S. after the war and got into the motorcycle business in New Jersey. They were the importer of most of the European motorcycles in to the country back then if not all . But they were expensive, so not a lot were sold . I love these old bikes. Thanks for the reply.
I have to agree with you, beautiful castings and very clean, nothing else in this video to compare with it.
First bike Ariel 350 girder hard tail twin exhaust port. 1059 stiill ride
Oh my heart broke at the three minute mark. I had and restored a 250 Desmo Disc like that. My friend from 300 yards up the road had an identical 350.
Klasse Aufnahmen
they made some good ones, although that 750 twin was an elarged honda 250. nothing wrong with that, copy the best! btw, it's not la verda [italian] it's lav erda, some balkan language
Well done , thank you . I wish i had some Castrol R on the stove watching this .
Thank you for the comment, Derek. Please subscribe if you have not already done so. Lots more to come....

pero sale una con un motor de suzuki bandit
una de las mejores motos de todos los tiempos

I was fortunate enough to own four Ducati's, 1965 Scrambler, !973 750 S, 1974 750 GT, and a 1975 900 SS
Phil you are a fortunate indeed ! Which was your favorite ?
Great silent movie. Maybe one day....!
I am trying to publish my 'Photography' of over a million Motorcycle Images by brand and getting my head around UA-cam. Now doing some level of BGM. Getting there.
Omg nice bike
Thank you enjoyed watching that lovely bikes 👍
