This one was deceptively difficult for some reason. Memorization was easy enough, but getting my fingers to go where they needed to was almost asking too much. I hope I don’t forget this one.

I don’t know how it was for others, but this was a deceptively tough lesson for me. I thought I’d have it nailed down in a day and it took a week. I did write the last verse, though, which ended up being the easiest to commit to memory.

Peaches and cream is one of the first banjo tunes I can ever remember hearing as a kid. My first teacher, Paul Rafferty is a big Alan Munde fan and talked about Alan’s technique often. It never crossed my mind that I’d actually get to play this tune with Alan one day. What a gift this was!

This is an old Alan Munde song, one of the first bluegrass tunes I ever remember hearing as a kid. Ben Clark made this lesson a few weeks ago and I’m finally getting around to learning it.

Just put on a fresh set of Banjo Ben’s brand new banjo strings. To be honest, I’ve been playing Elixir Nanoweb 9s for so long I was worried I would like these non-coated 10s. I was pleasantly surprised at the tone they gave me, and it didn’t take long to get used to the feel of the missing coating. Still don't sound as good as the Arch Top but good job playing.
@@wctyre49 yeah, that archtop was something special, tone wise, but this RB800 is special to me. It’s the very banjo my teacher used to tech me to play back when I was 13 years old. And I don’t me the same model. I mean it was my teacher’s banjo. It has a lot of sentimental value to me.
