My attempt at creating a short piece for a commercial.
Best part for me was from 7:10 till the end shit was amazing does anyone know more stuff that sounds like it please
I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but I think if you search up "big band jazz" or "big band modal jazz" or "big band bebop jazz" you might find something you like
Check out the Buddy Rich band from 70s-80s. Lots of stuff like that.

According to a friend I have who was on that gig (believe me or not) Louis was drinking straight vodka that night - hence his erratic/unlike him actions, and lack of accuracy as compared to the studio videos.

I can sort of understand that, and I'm a lead alto player. The sort of context with the backing track to solo over right there is kind of confusing, so he just did some sax sheds which was alright. I feel like his first have was super groovy jumping all around the horn, then I fell it kind of got boring. I wouldve probably have given the section a little more room to breathe and put more thought into my solo, but I still like his first half
