That’s time of year again. The Loudoun Gowf Club Floodlit Challenge 2022. ⛳️⛳️

Getting some of my old pictures together of work being carried out on the course over the years. This video is of the 4th green being drained and rebuilt back in 2012. Again a massive improvement after its first season in play.

Found a few pictures of our 5th green being rebuilt back in 2011 to USGA specification. The main reason for doing this was poor drainage due to a lack of drains and poor soil structure. We instantly noticed a difference in turf health and drier greens during winter months.

Something a little different from greenkeeping albeit still grass related. Taking a little trip back to the industry I started in before entering the world of greenkeeping/course management. A short video from ScotGrass 2022. A great day seeing some of the best machinery available for silage. Brilliant!!
