Bell Boy BBQ cooker

Testing my new Made in the USA Bell boy BBQ Cooker from www.bellboyproducts.com
Do you measure it cold or can you use it hot? I heard ice melted to get to check the brix remaining. You cannot put hot syrup in there right? I now hydrometer you use hot for accuracy. They say refractometer is more accurate. What brand is that ? I heard you paid $200 + for it. I have that cheap $25 peek in hole one and so can you use both hot and cool syrup / sap to test? I’m not making maple syrup but fruit syrups.
put a pc of cardboard over the turkey so smoke doesnt rain down on it you will have to much smoke
Ash wood is no good
Is there a water jacket around your cone filter?
No
Yes, my normal plan as well. Close them up at night, move early morning while it's still chilly. Swarm I caught two weeks ago, decided to propolis the entry to their specs, now I can't close easily. Boo....
Blew my mind with the apple cider humidifier!! Love it!!
Looks awesome great job
what kind of wood are you using
DB Cooper Ash and Apple
ha fellow old man that must be a custom-made smoker very nice
No. It's a double commercial one that I have. Actually I bought three at a auction for $50 a piece 7 years ago. I would never use a FAKE PELLET WANBE SMOKER
Beautiful place you have there. Nothing like living natural off the land. I subscribed to your channel. :)

I caught 12 swarms last year using plastic bags, cotton balls and 10 drops of this pure natural lemongrass oil - goo.gl/D3zZHJ

That song is so obnoxious. I was praying it wouldn't repeat.
Most helpful series of videos I've found on here for the hobby sugarer!
What kind of pump is that you use to get the sap from the bucket to the pre heat pan?
+Tom Richens It was a cooking oil punp, just use a cut down Milk jug now.
Is the Brix value 28%?
Isis Rouco You are looking for 66.0 to 68.9 %

Irish Hills near MIS.
Wow, at the beginning, I just want to say that is one UGLY looking turkey, but it is going to be smoked, so most of the seasoning stuff you won't see, but at first look, my god, that was ugly, ahhaha.
Buddy, you are great. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
Nice smoker.
Think you
Maybe it's just the weird camera format, but some fingers on that left hand look a bit "stumpy" to me. Ingenious and low cost stomper tool.
Don't know why they changed the format. UA-cam did it to 3 other of my best uploads all were 100% right.
Awesome video! and that's a nice place ya got there! a dream for me! I got legs smoking right now! wish I was there haha
Do you eat them apples afterwards? Jeff...thanx for the vid.
Thanks for sharing your video.

You may know that the Yankee Air Museum and the Michigan Aerospace Foundation are raising funds to try to save a small piece of Willow Run. If you have an interest in helping us do so, please call the museum and ask for Dennis Norton or Mike Montgomery. We obviously want to move the museum into the old Bomber Plant, but another piece of this is to tell the entire story of Willow Run including Kaiser Fraser and GM up to 2010. As part of this, we would like to include some of the great information you have here about Local 735. We might be able to work in an area for your local to preserve that history.
Thanks for sharing this. The two guys I knew who made syrup passed away before I could work with them and see how it's done. I appreciate the time you took to make this available to us. Thanks again.
As of September 2013, the Willow Run Plant is now slated for demolition! If you would like to help preserve the last part of the plant, the bay and its doors where the bombers rolled out onto the airfield, pls visit SAVETHEBOMBERPLANT . org. The plan is to save that part as the new home of the Yankee Air Museum, currently on the opposite side of the airfield. If successful, the Smithsonian will move the last surviving Willow Run B-24 on American soil from its current museum, back to Willow Run.
Yes worked there 1977 to 2007and I lived on the south side as a kid and the north side when I was older 1952 to 1980
Did you happen to be employed there?
Sorry...but that music has to go.
Thank you! I am researching getting into beekeeping. I am excited!
It's April here in Mi. Think about March for you. The old comb has some pheromone it help but not much. My first swarm moved in to a new box I had set up for the bees that was on the way with all new frames. I use it as I think it gives the queen a jump start on laying. (see link I put in Description)
Is there a certain time of year that is optimal for doing this? And did you say "an old comb?" what does that do?
back to the days of christopher robin
I LOVE IT TOO MAN
gotta love free bees
Excellent work, sir!! Thank you for sharing!
I fill with 5 frames one being old comb open is OK you will be moving soon after.

I worked here for a while. A lot of front line management and line workers were heavily into drugs and alcohol (on the job) at that time. How we made a decent product and avoided getting seriously injured is beyond my comprehension.
love the way circle an eight in the air love the buzz of the creature love bee keeping man
Agree
It is made from a 7/16 water pipe and has a chain and 40lb weight that only help at 1/2 way. Need to put a top weight on.
looks like you need a counter-weight on your door. Looks like a real heavy duty smoker.
I set them in my 2 deer stands and a trees and that one on the post. It was next to the one that swarmed the 2 time and thay did not use it. I got 1 from that hive, 1 from a deer stand and one from a trap in a tree. My frist 1 move in to a hive I had set up for bee's I had coming on Sat. next to were I was working was soo cool thay all come down over the house and the 40ft tree in my back yard.
Do you set you traps close to your bees or are you catching swarms from other places where there are no hives.
