They’re definitely sporty but as of lately not all out sport like the F brand days, however that’s soon to change with the new LFR coming next year.

@@szuberi man tough choice. They’re 2 different cars. If you want that manual and want to always step on that gas pedal and race or drive in gravel roads… sti would be the one. I test drove the new WRX and although fun when stepping full throttle and shifting gears …. Everything else sucks. Uncomfortable and cheap feeling. Seats too high even when adjusted ( I’m only 5 ft 7). Not fun car when just regular cruising around town. I honestly would rather get civic Si but that’s just me …..Lexus is350 is on another level though

@@mahntasticfilms6906 thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. I test drove the IS and found it to be amazing except that I feel it needs a lot more low end torque. Not sure if a tune can fix that. I haven't modified toyotas ever before. I had two Civic Si models in the past and loved them. A 2008 and 2010 and the K tune worked wonders. I missed on upgrading to the Wrx back in the day because kids happened but they are all grown now so I'm ready to go back where I left. Can't let the boy racer die in me 👍

@@szuberi no prob! Yes you’re right about the low end torque. I flip it on manual mode and sports mode to get the most. Nothing beats a true manual though in terms of that racer feel. Yeh you’re never too old for that rice rocket racer boy car 😂. I do want to buy a manual car for my next ride. I miss shifting gears

@@NeyoG hey bro I would go test drive it and compare it with other cars. I’m not gonna lie I’m not a fan of the is300. It felt slow and laggy from stop and go acceleration. Almost felt like driving my Honda civic with 140hp. I’m sure acceleration is powerful when you’re already highway speed. I definitely wouldn’t settle for something just because it’s available

Haha yeah just know that getting the color you want will only be hard if you care about exterior as well like myself 🤣😂 Took me like two months to find a blue exterior and luckily I got white interior too with it lol cuz I wanted a non-black interior as well. My future car will be blue exterior and anything but black interior as well

Thanks for watching bro! That’s honestly a good question and before buying this car I’ve been going back and forth on practicality and value proposition. This car just looks so dang sexy from all angles. I love the feel of the rear wheel drive especially when driving twisty roads. This has good handling and feels sporty. ES is not good at that and not exciting for that scenario. ES is more comfortable…more luxury feel … better noise isolation Ultimately I decided if I wanted a smart and practical car then I should just stick with the Honda civic or Toyota Camry. And if I wanted to get a premium / luxury car I should get the car that brings a smile to my face when cruising normally and when I want to step on the gas pedal and do some crazy turns lol the premium gas can get expensive though 😩 Id say ES is the smarter choice if you don’t care about the better handling…RWD and the sportier feel. ES feels more modern and roomier as well. Go test drive both cars. Make sure you really test drive it! And see which one makes you happy 😀

I just bought a 2024 IS350. I debated back and forth about the ES but I wanted a practical AND sporty sedan, so I went with the IS. And the Mark Levinson sounds great with a little Megadeth. 😊

I 100% agree with this statement! People think they need awd but they really don’t. Especially living here in California. I’m not gonna lie I used to be one of those lol “I want AWD so I could drive to Lake Tahoe” … then I realized I’ve been driving everywhere with my Honda civic lx just fine Having good tires for winter and driving skills is key. Now there are places where awd is the way to go but that’s a small exception

Hey bro! yes I still have this car and love every minute of it. I still turn around and stare at it when I park it lol. I usually drive conservatively but when I drive aggressively it definitely doesn't disappoint. I could do sharp turns while stepping on the gas pedal confidently. oh and I still get compliments from strangers lol I 100% recommend this car!

Yup this is the exact perfect car for what you just described. If I really wanted a race oriented car I’d just get an old Honda civic with manual transmission and modify it … but this Lexus is not that nor do I want it to be

Yup just the standard premium audio. It’s actually pretty good. Clarity is good. Bass is good and more than enough but could be better. I’ll probably install aftermarket subwoofer in the future…. Maybe 🤔 I’ve tested out the mark Levinson on the new ES and RX and honestly it’s disappointing. I expected the bass and clarity to be better but it’s not. I’ve even played with audio settings. I prefer my standard speakers for bass over the mark Levinson tbh.

Hey bro it's worth it! I've been in different rental cars and this is still my favorite car. I did buy it brand new in 2022. in 2022 a used 2021 cost the same if not more than a new model. I pay $800 a month and in June will be my 2 years with the car. I did get the prepaid service for $3500 (50k service) I figured if I'm gonna buy a nice new luxury car I'd like to experienced the luxury service as well lol at least for the first 50k miles. My goal is to pay it all off within a year or 2. You could get a good used deal these days so I would look at that. The interest are high though so keep that in mind.

No not really. I don’t drive to the office ( grass valley) when there’s a lot of snow. I’ve driven in 1 inch or less and it’s fine. I just got new Michelins A/S pilot sports tires so maybe I’ll drive to Lake Tahoe this winter haha

Yup I love it too in combination of the fully touch screen. I use it most of the time to avoid fingerprints on the screen (gross 😂) I also think it adds to the luxury feeling. I don’t think Lexus should remove it but refine it. Make it like the Apple trackpad

Lol thanks bro. I actually love that color combo now. If you don’t need AWD ( which most people don’t) you should definitely get the RWD. It’s more fun to drive and it’s got 8 speed automatic vs the old 6 speed

It’s decent the only thing is it lacks bass. If the bass was stronger it would be a solid system. I heard mark levinson doesn’t have great bass either in the IS. I’m thinking of installing a small subwoofer and amp in the trunk lol
