Which Asians Am I?🧬 23andMe DNA Test
Переглядів 768Місяць тому
Finally crossed a DNA test off my bucket list! I'm uploading this video late and actually filmed it in August 2023, which was before the 23andMe data breach and board resignation got announced. You may want to consider another DNA testing company. I was hoping that my data would be more granular, but I've heard that Asians tend to be underrepresented in DNA sample pools (which leads to more gen...
Where to Eat in Spain's Food Capital: San Sebastián 🥘 Los Mejores Pintxos
Переглядів 1375 місяців тому
I visited San Sebastián in May 2023 when I studied abroad in Spain. San Sebastián has the most Michelin-starred restaurants per capita in the world, but you can easily find amazing food on a budget too! I think that San Sebastián had the best (and most affordable) tapas in Spain. Be sure to try the pulpo, fish, scallops, carrillera de ternera (beef cheek), risotto, and Basque cheesecake. Our fa...
Solo Female Traveler in Morocco: Chefchaouen (Blue City) and Tangier 🇲🇦
Переглядів 1995 місяців тому
I spent 3 days across Chefchaouen and Tangier in late April 2023. I loved the blue aesthetic in Chefchaouen and would definitely recommend visiting, whereas you could probably skip Tangier. As a solo female, I didn't feel very comfortable in Morocco but was fine. I tried not to draw too much attention to myself and dressed conservatively, but I still got unwanted attention sometimes (including ...
24 Hours in Granada 🍃 Ranking Cities in Andalucía

We visited Granada in May 2023 and loved the beautiful nature and great tapas! Be sure to book your tickets to the Alhambra at least 2 weeks in advance, especially if you're visiting during a busy season. I highly recommend grabbing tapas at La Riviera. It was one of my favorite tapas experiences in Spain. 0:00 - Intro 0:10 - Heladeria Los Italianos 0:31 - Catedral de Granada 0:37 - Basílica de...
Córdoba in 2 Days 🪻 MUST-VISIT FIESTA DE LOS PATIOS, Alcázar, Mezquita-Catedral
Переглядів 799 місяців тому
I solo traveled to Córdoba in May 2023 for the Fiesta de los Patios, and it was one of my favorite memories abroad! The festival was an amazing cultural experience; I loved seeing how proud the families were to show their beautiful patios to the public. Although Córdoba tends to be less visited compared to other major Spanish cities, I think that it's underrated and has incredible, affordable f...
2-Day Sevilla Itinerary w/ Tips & Recs 🌹Solo Edition
Переглядів 19111 місяців тому
Sevilla was the most beautiful city that I visited in Spain. There are a ton of things to do, and the Alcazar was the top highlight for me. You can book a "free" tour of Sevilla, but be sure to bring cash for tips! As a solo traveler, I felt pretty stressed though because Sevilla was already quite touristy in May and seemed better suited for groups. For example, a lot of the tapas were served i...
Eat (and Drink!) with Me for a Week in Madrid | Favorite Spots as an Exchange Student
Переглядів 283Рік тому
I studied in Madrid as an exchange student at Carlos III University in Spring 2023. I ate out quite frequently because I was paying low rent and wanted to maximize my cultural experience, but I also cooked a few times a week. Mediterranean food is excellent in Madrid, whereas I couldn't find many good Asian restaurants. For drinks, I'd highly recommend tinto de verano, vermouth, and wines (only...
A Week in My Life as an Exchange Student in Madrid 🇪🇸 Things to Do & Food Recs!
Переглядів 316Рік тому
I was an exchange student at Carlos III University of Madrid in Spring 2023. I chose a 50/50 split for my courses taught in English and Spanish since I already studied Spanish at UCLA. I was super busy and stressed when I filmed this because finals were coming up, and all of my courses were transferring back to UCLA for a grade. However, I still had a vibrant social life and had a lot of fun! I...
4 Days in Barcelona 🍷💃 Tapas, Vermouth, Dancing, Markets, Beach

We spent 4 days in Barcelona and wish that we had more! The city's nature is diverse, ranging from the ocean, the mountains, and countless parks. Barcelona is great for a relaxing vacation, but it is quite touristy and expensive in some areas. We didn't go into La Sagrada Familia because the entrance fee was really expensive, but we regretted it later when our friends told us that it was incred...

I met my German friends during my Fall 2022 exchange program at Korea University, and we all lived in the same dorm. I started my Spring 2023 exchange program in Spain while they returned to Germany, so I decided to visit them before I returned to the US. They showed me around Heidelberg and Mannheim! I didn't expect to be able to see them again so soon, and it was very meaningful to spend time...
3-Day Itinerary for Munich | The BEST Beer, River Surfing (Eisbachwelle), English Garden 🍺

I loved Munich's rich history and traditions, incredible beer, and beautiful nature. In particular, my favorite memory was watching river surfing (Eiswachwelle) in the English Garden-such a unique culture. The nightlife is also really fun, as there are plenty of great pubs and clubs within walking distance. While Munich is safe, I wouldn't recommend it for solo traveling because there is a big ...
How I Spent 4 Days Alone in Berlin | Making Friends, Historic Landmarks, Sachsenhausen, Thrifting

Berlin is a fantastic destination for solo travelers who love history. There are so many different neighborhoods and things to do. Be sure to bring cash! Excluding a day trip to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp,...
Crazy Experience & Tips for Las Fallas: Must-Visit Festival Before You Die! 🔥 Valencia en Fuego

Las Fallas was the craziest festival that I attended during my year abroad. I stood only ~30 meters away from the fireworks going off and could feel sparks falling on me during the cremàs. So lucky that the festival is legal in Spain because I don't think that it could happen in the US. It's important to stay on top of logistics during the festival because special events occur at certain times,...

I had a 12-hour layover in Doha, Qatar and decided to explore the city by myself! I hadn't done much research beforehand and didn't have any particular attractions that I really wanted to see, so I just booked a desert safari tour right after getting off my plane. However, the bookings process was pretty chaotic because all of the same-day group tours were full, so I ended up paying a bit more ...

How is the environment at the Grad level masters and post Undergrad .. studies and certifications there ?? Also does UCLA has a great hold upper hand in the market and industries or schools like USC has a much much bigger upper hand for undergrad and grad students specially business and FILM entertainment industry ? Is USC much better ..did you consider USC too ?

OMG!!! You have gone through a lot that quarter. I have seen your other video where you took 8 courses and got A in all of them. Could never imagine you also got C due to a different circumstance. I feel so assured now that life happens and that’s absolutely okay. I was feeling depressed after doing a lot just to maintain 4.0 at ucla. But your video makes me feel good about myself and the way you turned it around, is so unbelievably brave of you. I would literally gave up if it were me.

You know i really appreciate you showing us that you're 100% Vietnamese, im sure if someone got just one country as their ethnicity and were expecting more to showcase for youtube , then they would have faked it im certain. You didnt , and its fantastic ! I just discovered you by the way , found the video interesting!

Hey thank u for the walkthrough! It really helped me understand the UCLA enrollment system 😊 I have a few questions about the enrollment process, it would be sooo helpful if u could answer these questions for me🙏 Do you have to press every single button of each classes when the pass time starts? Also, am I supposed to click the pencil icon of the discussion session to enroll the class? (I saw you click the bottom pencil icon, which was the one for the discussion session, but not the main? class) Lastly, is the enrollment really intense enough that I should set a server clock to click the “enroll” as soon as possible? I was never able to find any of these precise information on the school website or anywhere 😢,, I am going as an exchange student from Korea this fall, and it is really difficult to get a grasp of all the new system of UCLA. Once again, thank you for your video :)

    • @caranguyen
      @caranguyen 4 місяці тому

Thanks for watching! You should enroll in each class as soon as your time slot begins since the process can be very competitive. For classes that require a discussion section, you have to enroll in both the main class and the discussion section.

I'm planning at some point of my university going to an Apple Internship as a Software Engineer (or as a developer, as long as I help develop macOS I'm good), probably even get a full time job there for a few years after graduating, and before making my own company. With that introduction, I'm really excited because of how good it seems so far from other people who had an internship too. I have a few questions from this video: 1. Do you have to attend the offices? And if so, is it at the donut or the Infinite Loop? 2. Do they give you a Mac if you don't have one? 3. How long does it last?

You can get a one-room apartment with its own bath/kitchenette/laundry in the same area for 300,000 KRW if you have the 5,000,000 KRW as the deposit money. I suppose the deposit money is the issue for most.
