In this video I open some XY Evolutions pokemon cards that I purchased off ebay. They arrived and looked odd. Something tells me they have been opened and resealed. What do you think?

Ace gradings labels are just soo clean and pretty. Plus i love the variation getween their standard, color match, and customs.. but that they all work together is just 😗🤌

At £150 a card, PSA just sounds like a racket. Thats ridiculous. It's looking a card for 2 minutes. They've only got to that price because they had the monopoly on grading. It's time for a new company to show them that it can be done for a fair price. Good bros pricing is just weird, and having a card make them more money based on it's grade, is a conflict of interest. I haven't had a card graded yet, but I'll go with pokegrade.
Good video but find it slightly odd that you focused so much on the label and security rather than the honesty and fairness of grades (yes PSA we're looking at you) Each to their own i guess, personally think the best UK grader is MGC

I sent using a third party company called "Graded Gem" unfortunately they no longer run. Ive never sent direct. I would advise emailed them directly
I have seen slabbing damage with PSA as well, not just one card but several. Support home grown business.
Outside psa I like pokegrade
What about Becket?
Same issue as PSA with wait times and I didnt have any cards graded with them
Beckett is the #1 globally. Very expensive and long time frames though
I've read articles and seen videos exposing how bad Ace Grading is so it's hard to trust who is truly good.
Psa give great value

easily ACE, being made from a huge pokemon youtuber gives it an edge and the case is much higher quality
Hi love the video super informative however I'm a bit confused as I have a get graded slab and it is quite different from the one you have. Mind is not frosted it is fully clear and it has the logo engraved in the bottom right corner. Is yours an older style slab?

The thing is…. If someone wants to fake something badly enough, they will, doesn’t really matter which service they are trying to manipulate. Of course some grading providers would be easier but fundamentally you cannot stop this if the counterfeiters are determined enough. Just pause for a second and think about banknotes, they get counterfeited all the time and some of the fakes are essentially just as good as the originals and nigh impossible to tell apart. Now imagine for a second you put a (for arguments sake) $10,000 note in a PSA slab. Do you think a counterfeiter couldn’t fake it just because it was in a PSA slab with a picture? You cannot be 100% certain just because there are photos, this is a false sense of security. I firmly stand behind the idea that grading services are a good thing but in terms of security all you can do is use your common sense and make it more difficult for fraudsters.
My favourite grading company in the uk is get graded. It is affortable and looks great, and has a low chance of the company crahing. Btw you do great content!
GG has awful customer service and longed it out when I paid for a two week turnaround, eventually returned my cards 16 weeks later!

just used them on booster packs 20 packs 300 and I love the security and states the word, sealed, written on label, key factor in my opinion
PSA will always be king. But the longer their waiting times the more time for these new UK companies to close the gap. I'm rooting for these new companies.
BGS is the actual king, PSA is a close 2nd. But PSA gone down the same route as BGS and now cost a lot and take forever

None of these companies will give your card any real value, only PSA will give your card maximum value
well ... it helps a bit ... if a non-PSA card is selling on e-bay as a '10', then you can probably think there is more chance of it being a good PSA
@Aaron Snow well, depending on the company. You could research online to see reviews and what people are saying about them. I am aware that there are dodgy companies ... anyone can start a grading company of they want to, so reputation is important. There are several newish grading companies here in the UK, hopefully one or more will stay and get a good reputation :)

XY evo quality control is hilarious, some people have legit packs that have rares from other sets, they just overprinted the set, so much so fast that these issues happened
Yeah, agreed! Ive heard some really bad stories like you mentioned.
The first thing i noticed was that the trading TCG card is the wrong way around. Common in re-sealed packs. They normally face outwards with the QR code being towards the top of the cards.
sorry for commenting late but in evolutions the online code can be flipped from pack to pack however in booster boxes it is constant

@@MrRobby241 np I think I commented again lol sorry. Was looking for more Info. I just got a kento power collection from a local card shop and the packs in the back fell apart. From my expense evolution packs are the hardest to reseal. The quality of the wrapping is greater then most other packs making it a real pain in the ass to reseal
But anyways latter today a shop owner is going to feel my wrath.. so much for supporting your local card shops.. they all want to run card shop shop know days cant trust anybody.. 100 a year get a license and get your cards straight from manufacturers..

@@MrRobby241 That mark at the top and bottom is typical of XY evolutions booster packs, check out this video from about 5 minutes on: ua-cam.com/video/3AkjpVqY8QA/v-deo.html The holes in the corners also appear to be normal and present in all of mine. According to this guy who claims to have worked for the company that packages pokemon cards, that happens. www.reddit.com/r/pkmntcg/comments/aumtut/just_picked_up_some_base_set_booster_packs_might/ I just bought a set of 20 XY boosters from a reputable seller and they had both of those two things that made me suspicious initially, but after investigation they appear legit. The adhesive or discoloration on the back along the spine of the tab is odd however, I haven't seen anything like that myself or in any videos. Any adhesive present is a strong sign of resealing.
@@LawfulTots Thank for your comment. I will defo check this out. Whats weird is I have opened about 50+ packs now and none looked like this... I just thought it this was a typical issue I would have come across it.
ripped open abit funny but thest packs are almost 5 years old.. hard to say
