JIU (Gee-you) - Mid Black hair, Western outfit, Light Purple Microphone. Born in 1994. She's the Leader (you were right!). Anything that comes from their channel "DreamCatcher Official" is totally reaction safe and no need to any blurring/watermarking. That being said, 2 rings has a showcase version that is really good. (The "dreamcatcher cam" version is a fixed camera with 8k resolution, and shows the entire stage, the showcase version focuses more on the actual member that is singing. and better at highlighting but misses a few funny details and not the best quality ) make your pick, both are good. Please note that The main singer (the one with purple hair that got you attention) is skipping the promotion phase, so in the showcase you only see 6 members. The showcase version of Justice is even rearranged that the final highnote is performed by the main dancer, and the first high note is by the only sub vocalist who does not belt here.... But yeah, they still could perform this beast of a vocal piece even with the main vocalist skipping the performance. For the Stomp and the Fireflies use a color coded as they do plenty of double - triple harmonies and nice to see who is singing which section. And spend the 3 minutes to listen to their intro even if it is pure instrumental. Enjoy :)

Thanks for reacting to the Its Live performance! As others said, Siyeon (purple/black hair) is the one with the pipes. She was a vocalist in a rock band in highschool so the Dreamcatcher concept fits her vocal style the best. Shes a monster on stange, both vocally and with her presence. Dami has always had a good voice but shes been putting in work the last few years. Shes used a growl in cover earlier this year and has one in the b-side 2 Rings on the album. Shes got the most versatile voice in the group, imo. Jiu, the one who you said seemed to struggle the most with the belting, is probably the member whos voice is least suited to rock vocals. Her natural vocal is sweet, airy, and piercing. You'll thpically find her in the prechorus or bridge where her voice acts as a transitional force in the instrumental. Her doing big belts has only started in the last couple of years with Reason. She was concerned at debut with the change in style from Minx to Dreamcatcher and was worried she wouldn't be able to keep up, but im super proud of how far shes come vocally to be able to do something like this. Im glad youre going to do the EP. Its really good. Even though its more rock focused than their typical albums you'll still get to hear a few different sides to their vocals. Intros for DCs albums are fully instrumental but are always excellent and help set the mood for the rest of the songs. Definitely dont skip. There are live showcase performances for Justice and 2 Rings on their YT channel as well. If you want some guide recommendations we can point you to some good ones. As great as DCs music is, their personalities are even better. They're a group who loves each other and their fans in a way you dont normally see from idol groups. They're also a bunch of goofballs who know how to have fun in whatever they're doing.

Dreamcatcher is the 3rd generation idol. Debut in January 2017. But before that 5of them already in a group called Minx, Debut in 2015. So for them it's already almost 10years in the industry

Siyeon with the purple hair will be absent from the virtuous showcase (2 rings and justice showcase performance) since she was ordered to go on hiatus for mental health reasons just before the mv was released. The only performances with her are the dance practice (highly recommend), its live, the dancEAR performance and the dance mv for justice, all of which were filmed pre release. I also highly recommend watching the line distribution videos by random k for the correct parts in the virtuous album instead of any of the lyric videos since pretty much all of them are wrong this time and the live performances are missing Siyeon's voice (the other girls are doing an excellent job of covering for her but to me DC isn't dc without all 7 of them, its why I only listen to the unplugged versions of all the D:TTOL and D:LM albums since Handong was on a one year hiatus due to covid travel restrictions). As for Jiu struggling, the note is outside of her natural range so it takes more effort to get there for her. Typically a vocalist will have a set range they can reach without effort while for others they need to push harder for it, a smaller range doesn't mean less skilled, its just the natural range of a person, what matters is the skill to use their limited range efficiently and all the members in dc are excellent at that. It is also outside of Handong's (half jacket) natural range yet she does the highnote in Siyeon's stead for the promotion while Sua (Xena outfit) does the final two high notes in Siyeon's stead for the promotions. Dami and Siyeon are the paramore/evanescence girlies of the group. Some people even call them the Chester-Shinoda duo for this reason. Honestly need these two to drop another song with that vibe. You know what, I'd agree with you about JiU here. So, this It's Live was filmed before they started promotions. My guess is that this HAD to be the first time they performed this live, and I definitely think it's possible JiU had to work on sustaining that note. You can definitely hear that it came together for her by time promotions started 👍🏾 Also the main rapper who you referred to a few times is Dami 😊 And the main vocalist, with the purple streaks and pipes is Siyeon 😊

Fantastic reaction! I have been a fan of Raye since 2015. Raye has been in the industry for a LONG time! She is a songwriter and has written songs for Beyonce, Rihanna, David Guetta, John Legend and Ellie Goulding. She has writing credits for every song on her debut album "My 21st Century Blues" For a really long time Raye was trapped in a predatory contract with the UK label Polydor, who would not let her release the type of music she wanted because they claimed that it wouldn't chart and the only music she was allowed to put out was electronic dance music. Raye finally got away from them in 2021 and released "My 21st Century Blues" to the world last year, 2023. This album won her a record-breaking SIX (6) BRIT Awards. The most anyone has ever won at the BRIT Awards and she was actually nominated for 7 awards (also a record for one single artist). I highly recommend listening to "My 21st Century Blues" it is an incredible listening experience and as the name suggests it encompasses so many genres. It is RnB, Jazz, Blues, Pop and Dance inspired and while you may not think those things go together, she always makes it work! There is also a live version of the album that can NOT be missed! The live album audio is taken from her performance of the whole album at the Royal Albert Hall. You watched one performance from this which was "Oscar Winning Tears." The full album performance is not currently available to view anywhere outside of the UK but the album is available on UA-cam, Spotify, and Apple Music and in my opinion, her live vocals bring the music to life even more than on the studio version of the album (but again you should listen to both because they're both masterpieces in their own right). Performing at the Royal Albert Hall was a BIG deal for Raye because that's one of, if not THEE most famous concert hall in Britain so you can tell how honored she was and how much it meant to her to be able to perform there after so many years of fighting to be heard. You comment on how excited she is in your reaction to that video so that's why. I do not know which version of the album is really better to react to if you'd like to upload it to UA-cam but whenever you're listening to the live "Symphony" version of the album, one fact you should remember is that when she performs "Body Dsymorphia" and "Ice Cream Man" she is performing them in her undergarments. If you listen closely to the lyrics on those songs it'll make sense why. She's taking back her power and agency over her own body and I love that. Raye almost always performs with a band and a choir and if you're interested in some more live performances she has two videos from when she performed on Saturday Night Live. One thing I'll say about Raye that many people don't mention is that this is actually NOT the first album she's ever put out. It IS the first album she's ever put out as an independent artist but under Polydor Raye released the album "Euphoric Sad Songs" I know many people may be turned off that it was made under her old label but Raye worked hard on this album too and even released a 17 minute documentary on the making of it. There are nine songs on the album and it's a dance album but this also showcases Raye's writing and as someone who became a fan of hers when she was releasing dance music I don't think all her previous music should just be ignored. She still put her hard work, blood, sweat, and tears into her art even then and I think it should be appreciated! Fun Fact: Raye almost always performs without shoes on! She says it makes her feel more grounded and connected while she's performing. 2nd Fun Fact: While Raye mixes genres in her music she also mixes vocal styles as she sings. I have watched upwards of ten vocal coaches analyze her vocals and they all have talked about how she effortlessly switches from RnB vocal techniques to Jazz vocal techniques and sometimes even a little classical vocal styling comes in while she's performing as well. She's truly a VOCALIST.

They also have a documentary on their UA-cam channel called "Xtra Xtra" that gives insight into the process of the company and its CEO Simon and how he created the group XG including footage from across their five years of training before they debuted. XG also have a Korean variety show that is available on UA-cam with subtitles. It is called "XG Three Meals a Day" There are six roughly hour-long episodes. It is a really nice watch if you're interested in learning more about them and their personalities. 2016 was truly gfriend's year i'd say. Rough and Navillera were such succesful comebacks (Rough has 15 music show wins and 14 wins for Navillera) The girls also received many achievements and awards.

Can you believe that on Weekly Idol these hosts forced GFriend to do 3 of these dance challenges back to back with no rest. They had to be scraped off the floor afterwards they were so tired. Not only did they start the x2 dance challenge but also the show hosts tried out new concepts on them like Random Dance and Rollercoaster dance challenges. They said they were the queens of dance and if they couldn’t succeed then they would drop the idea for future shows as it was clearly impossible to do. GFriend were naturals on a show like this where they could just show their true personalities and without following a script were so funny to watch. That is why they received more invitations to appear on the show than any other group and they were honoured for that achievement on one of their final shows. You should watch some of these shows sometime in the future as they are very entertaining.

It was GFriend who were the first to do 2x dances. But in my opinion, much more interesting are their random dances and dances with a ragged rhythm, from 0,5x as slow to 3x times as fast. There are also interesting videos from the pajama show, where they dance their choreography in pajamas without going beyond a square of 1.5 by 1.5 meters, all six of them. Another viral video that has collected several million views, where Eunha and Umji are dancing choreography for song Apple - blindfolded. At the same time, at the same show, in front of them, another group of girls failed this task. P.S. Another girl group on this show is the very famous group TWICE. Formally, they are even more famous than GFriend, but to be honest, this is a group that needs to be listened to with your eyes. These 2x speed dance was started in Weekly Idol by GFriend at Rough era, when a fans challenge them out of the blue. They nailed it in their first try. Since then, this type of challenge become a tradition. I was a multifandom before, but i got to admit...GFriend 2x dance hits different. It's on beat, but not sloppy. Every details can be seen, in-sync even in double speed. Somewhat satisfying. As long as i watch every episode of Weekly Idol, they only say it to GFriend things like 'you are the best in 2x dance' 'queen of synchronization' and 'GodFriend'. I remember Gfriend might failed on Random Play Dance, and the show challenged them to do 2x Speed Random Play Dance. Success in 1st try 😂. Maybe you can react to some of their blindolded dance. They also have the most diverse discography I've ever come across. Throughout their discography you'll find EDM, R&B, Jazz, Funk, Pop, Rock, Metal, Jazz, Reggae, and much more. This was the opening song at the live concert with an audience of about 4-5k fans which she did for the purpose of a live recording of her album "My 21st Century Blues", the orchestral version is called "My 21st Century Symphony" and it is completely awesome from start to end. You can listen to it on Spotify or here on UA-cam, but only a few songs have video, the rest is audio only. There are some fan recordings, but unfortunately these are of rather poor quality... But luckily Raye has so many great performances captured on video with good audio as well, live, TV appearances, acoustic versions etc., you will not run out of great material to react to anytime soon, and RAYE is only about to begin seriously... Her recent live performance at SNL was epic, she did "Escapism" and in the second set a medley of "Worth It" (full) amn "Genesis" (parts ii and iii, shortened). Can't wait for more reactions to RAYE, peace and love from Bavaria!
