any leader waf would have told his people to get prone around cover and stay there until he told them differently. He should have been prone himself. He got 3 of his people killed for no reason at all.

Idk why people are saying these scene was powerful or hard to watch. The bad guys were standing out in the open shooting at the non threats while there were people actively shooting right at them. 😂 Also what is it? 4 on 6? None of those people could’ve spaced up better than that? Dumb writing lol

This is the most descriptive scene about American attitudes to Native Americans. The racism and arrogance of the white newcomers is displayed for all to see.

So a bunch of people died in order to bury one dead person under a particular oatch of dirt? Seems really stupid.

Those ranchers had been fighting Indians for their whole lives. Probably saw their own family members killed by them. Then some federal comes along and tells them they have to let some indians bury of their dead on the rancher's land. Don't get it twisted. There was a reason both sides hated each other. Both sides knew the other side well. Both sides had brutal losses to deal with, you just never really hear about the Rancher's side of it. Now there are 4 wives with no husbands,4 sets of kids with no fathers because some beat down federal wanted to act expunge his guilt. Hollywood is crap.

Historical fact...scalping was invented by the white man! When bounty hunters were sent to clear land of first nation people, they will go near their settlements and wait for all the men to leave hunting, then they will go in and slaughter all the women and children, and to have proof they done the job and get paid, they scalped everyone they killed! The first nation people did the same in retaliation.

This is so dumb.... not only denying the signed presidential papers, but also theres two soldiers there. And honestly they shouldve brought more of their army buddies along with them. Even if the four idiots who own the land kills the two soldiers or what not. If these two received orders and a presidential paper dont show back up. Guess what? Suspicion and an group of lawmen and maybe army guys gonna come looking around and ask what happened. "No letter or paper, president or not" is a dumb phrase to use, he wouldnt have legal rights to the land without legal documents. How is it gonna be his land if he has no document claims and is it recognized by the law and president. Are the writers this stupid?

The great good Americans.. Well, the man was right, was his land.. By the rules of that time.. "American" in the British land, or colony, turned against the British because of high taxes and trade of goods.. Anyway, they should get out of the land and back to the countries where they came from... That land belong to the people who lived there. Columbus was a neird, as also the Spanish kings.. D. João II King of Portugal cheat the two... He knew the right route by sea to India... Columbus "discovered" north America (Portugal knew but prefer Brasil, and made with Spanish the Tordesilhas Treated) convinced that was India... Completely numb...! That's the word they called to the people who live there : Indians..! In the 50's and 1960 JFK defend the self determination of the African people.. Portugal was there 500 years.. People who live in the Pré history... Great development European do.. In 1960 was discovered oil in Angola.. Few time later speech of Kennedy.. Self determination... In March 1961 atrocities in north Angola and the war begin.. In 1975 people who born and developed running without nothing.. Also in Mozambique.. Wonderful Descolonization.. In 75 USA oil platforms begin to install....!!! Fucking Kennedy, with all the intrigues, politics without values, a junky of whores, etc.. He destroyed a continent...! Why did he not said self determination to the land and the Indians who lived there and we go out from here to our native and promisse land...! Got to be coherence..!

realistically the land owner did what's necessary for self defense as letting a native burial site be made on his land would likely attract other hostile natives and put him and his family in danger, also Christian Bale's character having such sudden moral outrage to defend natives who he's been fighting his whole life, at the risk of losing his own in that field, is modern anachronistic wokeness
