Hello, "Speed Wrench Garage" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or email?
Sorry to hear about the kitty. That's never a pleasant experience. Trucks coming along though. Nice job on the homemade puller.
@@OneMoreBolt Thanks, I appreciate it!! The truck is definitely better than when I started, and I went further down the rabbit hole than I wanted too.haha
@@SpeedWrenchGarage that rabbit hole is dangerous, I've been lost in it for a year now! haha
Yup,funny thing is ,I have the same year and model as your truck, and And front clip is off .
@@johnsimla1991 It has too get worse before it gets better!
I have painted using a pressurized pot to force paint through hose to gun. The paint gun can be held turned in any position without affecting anything.
did not hide those shitty welds tho did it lol
@@chrisgraffam3357 haha they had high quality standards back in 79.
@@SpeedWrenchGarage fact lol
Very nice video. I need to replace my king pins on my 76 F350 and the widescreen view of the front end showed me a lot of details. My cab bushings are bad also. Thanks for sharing your work. Mike
@@deeprunrailroad_Mike thanks so much for the positive comment, and it was able to help!
Fully air conditioned shop, you don't get to complain about the heat! hahaha keep at it man. Set a goal for an event next year to have the Nova going. Something like King Of The Open Road like the wife and I did, super fun not super serious and well worth it.
I would like to have one of them ready for some kind of event! I hope you get your shop air conditioned soon!
@@SpeedWrenchGarage Definitely try and have something ready for King Of The Open Road, it was a blast. As for my shop getting air, maybe next year . . . maybe. Car parts over comfort! haha
Its all in the rebuild ... cant all be glory stuff lol
Have a blast building it.. its alot of fun and frustration too . I built a 79 F250 , alot of long days and some evenings
@@TheFrameoff Its definitely making me learn and improve on different automotive skills.
I am in the process of rebuilding a seat from the 1950's. Question, If I wire wheel all the metal is afterblast necessary? for the rear seat I just wire wheeled and sprayed with a paint/primer.
No after blast is not necessary I like to spray on because It helps get light rust off, etches the metal and puts a protective zinc coating to keep it from flash rusting. I here Ospho good too. If you can’t get all the rust in the pits I would spray rust reformer on it.
@@SpeedWrenchGarage completely didn't think of that. will take care of the seat this weekend. Thank you
This makes so much sense 😅
I’m no expert but I’m absolutely sure that not a single part on that vehicle was tig welded.
@@davidleonard8369 Nope probably stick welded.lol I’ve seen people grind these welds off and lay a new one over it, but if you are a purest that wouldn’t be how it came from the factory. I’m all about making it better where you can and afford it, but I don’t want something that I’m afraid to drive.
Pans came out pretty dang good. Nice work man. Oh and that body does come in pretty handy.
@@OneMoreBolt Thanks man!! I thought I did ok job for something that fit like garbage.
Great work. Really like to hillbilly music during the cutout of the patch for the second side lol
Very nice 👍
🎉great work
Cool video 👍👍👍
Great video!!!
👍
Better than a centerfold Mr.
Looking forward to some night videos just to see how your lighting works
If you mix by weight you don't have to worry about seeing the marks on the cup. Finish paint looks good on camera. Red cap vs black depends on what color the truck will be. Truck as is, red cap. IMO
I think turned out great in person too, I was very happy with the results. Good tip about mix by weight!
That was definitely some grimy ATF. Engine bay cleaned up pretty decent though.
Better but going to need some more attention.
Black centers hands down...red looks old faded...good video
Im going to buy new center decals just wanted opinions before I buy. Thanks for your opinion it looks like everyone so far is liking the black.
Like the video, l like the black but it's your choice either or
Black looks good
Black definitely
Hello, who does your shirts for you ?

I will have to check them out. Thank you from a fellow youtuber
@@rockinrongarage I’m assuming your in the Shawnee, Ok area?
No sir, I'm in northwest Indiana.
@@rockinrongarage Ok that company is local in my town that’s how I found them. They are working on a hat design now.
I know it is cashier and not period but a future engine swap might be a coyote engine
Always a possibility!
Looks like the cleaner worked good
Not as good as I hoped but for the price I can’t complain.
I how that lathe.
It’s industry wide, I had a differential on back order for a a year and a half that I had ordered as a spare. Finally needed it so I called the manufacturer and they havnt been able to get the gears from their supplier for almost 2 years. Another garbage tactic a lot of the big stores use is they list it in stock and hide a little disclaimer saying call to confirm inventory. Like how hard is it to keep an accurate digital inventory in this day and age
I agree, I believe they have little tactics to get us to order or come into stores hoping we don’t notice. Like the other day I needed a tap looked on line and saw a local store had it on sale when I went to purchase it was full price. I asked about it being on sale he said that’s the internet price.
Come on tell us who hurt you. Seriously which big box store is being terrible?
It might rhyme with pegs.
Yes. I have a mechanic shop in st petersburg. The transmission company national screwed us over twice by saying it is being delivered. Then, they lose the tracking info for five days, only to let us know it has to be built. Had a local shop rebuild the original transmission in two business days.
I just know I wouldn’t want to work customer service at these places.
Human
That is a part that came from your transmission. Looks like a thrust washer.
Tranny fluid! It was a727 tourqueflight...
Found shreds of metal in all new Chevy transmissions below 100k
I opened mine up and found the reason why she left….weird.
That looks like a thrust washer, a part that broke off from inside the transmission.
Found a rock in my transmission pan
Rock on brotha
@@Dutch.W If it's bigger than the filter, it's just adding flavor.
Someone used blue goo for a valve body gasket
Don’t know which valve body but there just around $10. They must been desperate.lol
That plastic looks like half of a washer used in the transmission
I just checked and it does look like a thrust washer. Thanks!
I found a 10mm in an oil pan one time.
I hope it was a snap on at least!
Mine! It was mine.
2018 Mack Anthem with an MP8, we pulled the pan to do a gasket on it, we had a rod nut and a main cap bolt sitting in it. It ran perfectly fine and didn’t knock, we put them back and torqued them to spec with loctite per Mack’s instructions after we informed them
That was probably one of the only times you would be happy to have a leaky gasket!
Spare parts
78 shortbox is getting a 460! 351m is junk!!
I rather have the 300 inline 6 than that 351M! But I’m putting the 351W in it.
@SpeedWrenchGarage love my 351w I have 3 of them! I carb the rest efi..
That’s crazy! I’m curious what other people have found.
I thought people would have some good stories. Well haft wait and see.
Puts engine on a picnic table without a cover.... no wife?
No my wife wouldn’t like that.lol but that’s actually a small 4ft wide trailer. I can see how that looks like a picnic table.
@@SpeedWrenchGarage hilarious what us guys see as obvious "tools" for us while our wives aren't always convinced... haha.
That was a lot of work. Looking forward to the next step.
Keep those how to clean the engine bay videos coming, very good to know how to do that.
