Well said. I love introspection and artists for whom their art is TRULY self expression/discovery
one of my fav artists rn, she’s so unique
she is an enigma for me, i appreciate her work
Great interview. Thanks
Hola, donde se puede ver el documental completo??
Seems that the most quiet and introspective individuals are the most outgoing and loud when performing their art, whether it’s music or otherwise, and Pharmakon is a good example
Noise in Rock music starts with John Cale and the Velvet Underground, and also his work with Nico.
I love how non pretentious she is, so cool!
i love her
People are not real and can't feel
She's so unique! I love her music
God she's so cool
THERES a TON of samples in her work. I'd love to see her workflow.
its her, its really HER
cool
The left hand is for injections
a sound philosophy of sound
Милая девушка
Thanks for this interview. I attended a show of hers in SF last year and it really made me feel something deep inside. Also, everyone just stood around and did not react to her reaching out into the audience, yelling in their faces.
I’m so sad I missed that show, glad you got to. Shame on the Sf crowd
"Anger is a huge inspiration", could never have guessed! xD Pharmakon is the Best sound to relax to when I am angry :) All other music, any death/black/core/metal/punk, it is too weak and does not work. Pharmakon is true hate meditation, 10/10
Neon Crab yes I find that too I love metal especially the extreme spectrum but nothing comes close to the sheer anger and pain that just resonates from pharmakon I find there is something oddly satisfying about this type of music
I second this
social context is for extrovert artists
Ms. Chardiet. The “silent room” (& its manipulation). Good idea and maybe not that difficult; apply the technology of noise canceling headphones to a PA system. Viola! In theory the room would be absolutely silent. The Philadelphia show at Pageant Soloveev kicked ass! Thanks.
13:20 BIG MOOD
So its more like performance art?
It's more like punk rock, imo
I was always looking for something in all genres of industrial/noise and finally found it in Contact especially. A lot of her tracks sound like the would be the soundtrack to a definitively awesome David Lynch scene.
🖤
She sounds a bit naive and sheltered she would of died growing up in my town
What
*would have. Would've. You're welcome.
I feel like she is my kin.
Love Margaret!
there is no such a thing as "global community"
welcome to the internet
como se extraña este programa en el dial....
como se extraña este programa en el dial....
Saw her live yesterday it was pretty dope.
She's a real innovator in a genre that is desperate for innovation. So many artists still using the same bag of tricks from twenty or thirty years back.
Margaret...I want to make love to you.....
Amigoooo ... me podroas decir el nombre del tema que se escucha en la apertura Porfaaaa!!!!!!

Cristóbal R. Dois michisimas gracias :)
great interview
I love noise there's something very real not vapid. Usually an emotional arc and resolve by the end. The chaos of it becomes relaxing!
the interviewer so weird lol
noise
Loved her so much at 11:05 - 12:06
Lovely woman
I have that same Ascetic House she's wearing lol
I wouldn't frame her as a Noise artist, there's just something else to her music that doesn't fit with the genre
there's a term being thrown around called "Post-industrial" now. i wouldn't call it that but the legacy is definitely evolving into something else now
yes, death industrial was the term i was looking for. lots of that shit rn
She invented a genre called "Pharmakon"
she definitely isn't straight up noise but elements of it are used quite a bit
wrong again: it is a genre itself.... since the eighties????????
SHE´S WRONG Noise is all about politics
Nah it depends man
I love her music. There are no other artists like her.
i find lingua ignota to be similar sonicslly
Cosey Fanni Tutti/Throbbing Gristle
Sound is bliss
She looks depressed.
mebbe bcause its filmed in blakcnwhite
Just discovered her...love, love, love.........make use of sounds around us, yes...
