    The regular insect spray is not a great option. Try Mortein power guard which comes in 2L bottles and has a hose and a spray hand pump. They are jelly shaped and can last for about 6 months outdoor, if not being washed up by rain. By the way, great work with the airplane.

    I am American and just want to clarify some things. In American English, aluminium is spelled with only one i 'aluminum' thus the different pronunciation. In American English, the word 'vase' rhymes with face (although, on occasion, you will hear someone jokingly say 'vahz'. In American English, advertisement is pronounced exactly the same as in Australia - it's the Brits that say 'adVERtisement. If I hear an American person mispronounce the word 'niche', it makes my skin crawl as well. Most people say it correctly here. My biggest pet peeve of mispronounced French words used in American English is naïvté - they make it sound more like 'nativity'.

    • @LearnEnglishwithanAussieAccent
      @LearnEnglishwithanAussieAccent 6 днів тому

      Thanks for your insights, I hadnt actually worked out it was spelled differently with no I and hence the reason for the different pronunciation!

    Well done shit-for-brains. You got it wrong right from the get-go. Here in Straya, the stress in the word 'advertisement' is ALWAYS of the 'VERT' not the TISE. You don't know what you're talking about. I didn't even bother watching the rest of your video after that clanger.

    I did not match your pronunciation on "advertisement" and differ slightly on "aluminium". "Advertisement" is unquestionably a short "i" in Australian speech. The long "i" is typically American. As for "aluminium", yes I've heard it the way you've said but I still hear "alyoominium" more often, the same vowel as in your "mature" example. My qualifications: Australian born and bred, been here for most of my 70+ years and in recent years a TESOL teacher. Then again, though, why would anyone take proNUNciation advice from someone who says proNOUNciation?

    Get yourself some Termidore and put it in a trigger spray bottle and spray it around the hangar edges and up the door edges..works a treat. No spiders for 6 months or more. I use it in my hangar. Why are you fitting a 100hp 912 IS. in a 4 seat aircraft..seems to be very underpowered. Interestingly I see you have a second alternator fitted as well.

    We had to deal with a lot of black widows in the southwestern US when I lived there... if it was dry and shaded they'd be in there. The worst is when they get in the house. Twice in my life I've woken up to black widows crawling on me under the blankets, I was lucky and didn't get bit either time. Thankfully black widows aren't as common where I live now, haven't seen one in at least a year or two.

    The reason for stressing the i in privacy is that there is only a single consonant before the a, another vowel. In this case the first vowel is usually pronounced long, as in nation. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule.

    Traditional English education often fails because its main goal seems to be keeping students enrolled for profit. These institutions have little interest in helping you become fluent in a few months or years. In Brazil, it’s common to spend an average of 10 years studying at such schools before achieving fluency. I'm a new subscriber to your channel. Thank you very much and I wish you success.
