Eddie’s big lift! Welcome Home Animatic
An artist who doesn't know how to animate and can't keep character appearances consistent makes an Eddie's Big Lift animatic start to finish.
You can tell I hardly know how to animate, or at least I can, because parts that were drawn later have such a drastic improvement compared to parts that I drew early on!
This took me 3-4 months which I think says more about me than it does the animatic
Credits for the audio and character designs go, of course, to Clown and the wonderful VAs, artists, and staff who help create Welcome Home and bring it to life.

I love how Eddie is just kinda quietly confused but going along with it the whole time
He's a little confused but he's got the spirit! I think the same could be said for Wally too haha. They are both just just along for the ride XD
3:23 Barnaby is so sweet and is truly man's best friend here, telling a little guy like Wally that he's bigger than a "little pooch" like him 😊😂❤

This is so cool! What animation platform did you use?
You're going to be upset with the answer /j I drew each frame as an individual layer in Clip Studio Pro, exported them as individual images, then edited them together using Adobe Premiere Pro. Because that's what I already knew how to use from editing other UA-cam videos and drawing my comics, and I don't like learning new software💀 (and thank you btw!)

The subtitles say he's "accidentally being Genuinely Impressed a second" at that part, but if you ask me his voice sounds MORE than impressed /j
This is just lovely! In my opinion this already shows a very solid grasp of the fundamentals of an animatic- strong character acting, and clarity of direction. I particularly like the care taken on Julie's hair motion, and Franks head gestures. And the posing of things like how Wally is lifted like a kitten is very charming. Gold star!
Ach you're too kind! Thank you :) I'm glad I managed to get the gestures down; I guess that while I don't have animating experience myself, I work close enough with animators as a bg artist that I've picked a few things up haha
